stayed here before which is why i came back. very easy location for airport. A style and flair about the place which is attractive + the swimming pool. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Except for the lack of free wireless internet, this hotel was great. It was close to the airport which was very important and there was no fee for parking.

Excellent HotelOne of the friendliest hotels I have stayed in for a long time - all staff were professional but welcoming. We used room service - good food quick service and excellent childrens menu.Real value for money.

Nice hotel - but room had electrical problemsStayed prior to marathon run. Room nice hotel good pool and service good.Room aircon was very very noisy, when tried to turn off it made a clicking noise. Needed sleep before the marathon as up very early and this did not help me. Reception turned it off at the mains with all power when I called them and then switched back on which fixed the clicks but it still came on a made the loud noise a little later. Then in the AM the electric shower had been damaged by the previous nights electrical switch off and I had no shower before the marathon as a result. Food was poor too - but that is just a given nowadays, bad stomach before the my run was great - why did I pick prawns for my evening meal?Childrens meal was bad - 3 courses of very poor food.

NovotelDoes exactly what it says on the tin. Great service, great rooms, 2 minutes walk for the train station straight into town, nice leasure facilities and decent food ad drink.Would definately use it again !!

Short Stay at Novotel, Edinburgh parkWe stayed in the hotel for a short break with our three year old son. The hotel staff were very friendly and the hotel was spotlessly clean as well as being nice and new. The hotel is very family friendly which was the most imporatnt thing for us. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay and good value for money.

Freezing cold. The heating in my room didnt work properly which is a shame as it is a nice new hotel. It was a bit on the expensive side when compared with some obvious choices

I travel a lot for work and don't usually expect much from the chains, but Novotel is doing it right at this hotel. The staff are lovely - very friendly and helpful. The food is really delicious and very nicely presented (both dinner and breakfast), and the rooms are clean. It would be perfect if in-room wireless were available and mobile phone coverage were better, but I will definitely be back. For working out near the airport/Edinburgh Park, this is by far the best option.

Lovely hotel. Big disadvantage is that it is the hardest hotel to find. Spent an hour driving round an industrial estate, could see the hotel but couldn't get to it. Rooms excellent, staff very helpful. Disadvantage is breakfast very expensive, especially with no reduction for children. Very handy for buses and rail station. Pool good size and gym excellent.

This is a brand new modern, 'trendy' hotel and therefore everything is exceptionally clean and unused which I love. The rooms are very good and the bathrooms are top notch. You would expect to pay more if this was nearer the city. The hotel is very near a train station so access to Edinburgh is easy and there is also a park&ride near by so don't let the location put you off. I would stay again!

This hotel has opened recently. Very convenient for access to the local railway station with frequent low-cost trains to central Edinburgh. Room cleaning was less than adequate, with cup-bottom circles still visible on bedside shelves from previous occupants. Standard of food at evening meal was poor for an establishment of this kind and needs to be improoved.

The food in Elements was presented in a very stylish manner, which immediately made us feel comfortable. My girlfriend is an excellent cook herself, but appreciated the attention to detail. We would heartily recommend the food, which although a little pricey (reflected in the overall VFM rating above) was very good. When we stay there next time, we will pack our swimming costumes, cos the pool looked very inviting!!

On arrival the staff were not aware we were bringing our daughter although this information was given when booking the room. The receptionist immediately got the housekeeper to convert the sofa into a bed and left extra towels and even a teddy for her! The breakfast was lovely and the staff were really pleasant. Only a short journey into the centre, would definately stay again.

I am a frequent user of the Novotel in Edinburgh centre but I will not be staying at this hotel again.There are clearly snagging issues with the new hotel. Fixings falling of the wall, bedroom window that would not shut, air conditioning that didn't cool the room. The credit machine in reception not working properly. There is also a lot of noise from trains rushing through Edinburgh Park station. But the real clincher is I could only get a mobile phone signal (Orange) by going outside the hotel and standing in odd spots of the car park or on the embankment!Beds and pillows are usual good Novotel standard, but shower over bath is retrograde step from dedicated shower found in the City centre hotel. Very friendly staff.
