Great for the rate!Novotel is a superior chain hotel and this stay, through brief was most enjoyable. Bargains like this are the best reason for constantly checking LateRooms availability!

Good price - poor decorthe hotel is very dated and desperately needs a lick of paint. the bed was comfy but the general cleanliness of the room was poor. we only settled for a bar snack but £5.50 for a tuna mayo sandwich is very steep. drinks weren't too bad. price was great. £39 pre-booked - £95 on the day (OUCH) !!!

We enjoyed our stayThe staff were all very freidnly. The hallways could do with a bit updating, but we got the room at a bargain price....so no complaints at all really. Seperate toilet and bathroom was very useful as there were 4 of us in the one room

Great value for money, child friendly and well locatedRecently stayed at the Novotel with my young family and was pleasantly suprised. Easily located just off the motorway, there was no road noise. Room was comforable and spacious with everything you could need for an overnight stay, which presented excellent value for money for a family of 4. Restaurant seemed to offer some good deals including a surprisingly healthy menu for kids although we didn't have time to eat there in the evening, we did for breakfast which was very nice. The kids even braved the swimming pool despite the overcast weather which provided an added element of entertainment. Should think it is lovely when the weather is noce. Would definitelty go again and recommend.

Good for getting your head downI stay away in hotels frequently and this is very much a place just to get your head down! Very convenient for the motorway junction, but teh rooms are very tired, plastic curtains and artex walls. Serves its purpose but travel inn is better (and I hate those too!)

Stayed 2 nights with breakfast. In keeping with the reviews of other guests, the hotel is very much overdue redecoration and modernisation but, having said that, it does not feel neglected or run down. My room was in very good order with a very comfortable bed. Most impressive are the staff, particularly the French front-of-house who were first class. Customer service par excellence.

Good but...The hotel itself was excellent value for money at the discounted rate obtained through Late Rooms. It would in my judgment be very poor value at the rate posted at the Reception Desk.But the reason for my mediocre rating under this heading is that the food, in particular Breakfast, is overpriced. I think this would be true even for the full English Breakfast, but I cannot be the only client looking for a Continental Breakfast, which should obviously, to my mind, be at a lower price. I am too old to want to have the full works just because I have paid for them! The snacks available from the Bar etc. are also, in my view, overpriced. By contrast dinner in the Restaurant was about what I would have expected.

entrance, reception, bar and restaurant all modern and clean with friemdly efficient staffWe had the special weekend value meal - £14 for 3 courses or £12 for 2 courses, food high standard in the restaurant and this special value was not advertised in the room or mentioned at check in and we nearly went out to eat. Room we had needed a revamp, although clean and roomy, some of the textured wall paint was cracked and needed attention, also few holes showing were shelves used to be. we felt we got value for money for the price we paid, would not have paid the full price the for this hotel though.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room looked a bit tired with the bathroom shower head holder broken. Also the door between the room next to us had a broken lock - so it couldn't be locked properly.Enjoyable stay and good value for money.

Good tripA very nice hotel which does what it says on the tin! I do not travel with work very often and am going to be a bit nervous about submitting my expenses claim as although the room rate was reasonable the price of food at this hotel was extortionate - £13 for breakfast! Otherwise really nice staff and great location.

1 night stayGood clean hotel off Motorway roundabout Notts, so easy access in either direction on motorway. Secure free parking. Great english breakfast. Nice looking foyer, rooms plain, but comfy bed and pressure in shower. Fine for short stays for all travellers.
