Had a great time at the Novotel with the kids. The staff couldn't do enough for us, particularly the restaurant and the concierge people. We've stayed there a couple of times and didn't know about the family rooms, which we had this time. It was great, had a big room and then a separate room with two beds and a tv for the boys. Location is the best, loads of great shopping options. Not too sure if my hubbie was impressed by all the shopping. I think there were five shoe shops just about out the front door and Tiffany's across the road...right next door to Lindt chocolate, yum. Anyway, stay its great!

Great location in the centre of the city. Convenient, no frills accommodation. Depends on the experience you are looking for. Suited me for the occasion.

The Novotel is in an amazing spot! We thoroughly enjoyed staying there and would again. It is expensive compared to other places but the position is just the best.

Our air con was not working properly, would only work on the highest setting, so we either froze in mid winter , or roasted! After mentioning to the manager on 2 occasions , he said it would be fixed, DAY 3 of or stay!!! Not good enough!! Also the manager of he restautant dropped cutlery on the floor, then set the tables with it!!

Fantastic Location! Friendly and helpful staff. loved the restaurant food was delicious. Unfortunately, was not informed that the pool was being renovated. for the price I paid I expected to enjoy the pool that the hotel had advertised.

Well located comfortable, Rooms were a good size and clean. Flat screen TV and Cable added a bit extra, ""Pillow Menu"" was a great idea, prefer a rubber pillow. All in all a pleasent experience.

Having to enter one lift to gain access to reception then another to get to the rooms got annoying to say the least. Having the pool closed for renovations during a melbourne heatwave was not helpfull.

The Buffet Breakfast is a little expensive - but they have a proper coffee machine and a heavy duty fruit/vegetable juicer which is great - and a toaster that actually cooks the toast perfectly first time around! Would definitely go back again - right in the heart of the city and theatres.

Vaccum under the beds and underneath couches. I could see food bits and papers under both.
