City BreakCentrally located on the old city (& central station) - great hotel for a city break (could even leave our bag after checkout at no cost!)

this hotel is located in an eaasily accessible neighborhood during daytime( on the tram line) but very scarey in the evening. Front door is locked at all times and you must be buzzed in. If you know Amsterdam, this is probably a great location (near Dam Square) but if a first timer, as I am, people did not go out of thier way to assist but looked at you as if you were slow, when asking to have more specific directions. There was no wi-fi which I was clear about needing it was a problem for me. No bell staff to assist with luggage.

We had a wonderful time here travelling with 2a and 17 & 15 year old we had the 4 bed room and it was one of the largest hotel rooms we have ever had. Location was great the tram stop only a few menters away( 1,2,5,7,plus others) stop outside hotel.Central to alot of things. Breakfast great. Staff friendly and hopefully.

Good Hotel; I booked a single room and I got a triple, that was huge, nice and clean. In the hotel surroundings there are many restaurants, and it' s just 3min by tram from the central station. I would reccomend it.

A disaster place for disabled. Elevator goes only a part of the steep way up. What follows is a labyrinth of additional stairs. View outside just on roofs with marijuana plants. Awful. Do not come in a car, parking is available on a street, and priced at 5 Euro per hour! Inner Amsterdam is unfriendly to tourists in automobiles. Bad value for your money.

the only thing that stopped this excellent hotel getting full marks was the absence of a hotel bar!! But there were plenty of bars around. Good location just off Dam square and on a tram route. The staff could not have been friendlier. They booked our tickets to Ann Frank house, confirmed and booked seats for onward flights..... really excellent

This hotel is in an ideal location for exploring Amsterdam. Most things are within walking distance and there are trams that stop right outside the hotel. As someone travelling alone, I appreciated that the hotel was clean, secure and welcoming. I highly recommend the Nova Hotel.

A good spot for seeing Amsterdam. Receptionists not too knowledgable. But I'd stay there again.

The hotel has stairs down into the lobby, and again when you get to your floor. There is no one to help with the bags. Breakfast is good, and the location is good. The connectioon bus goes fromthe airport. Unless yuo get a great rate, I would stay elsewhere.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights at the end of April this year and found it very comfortable. It was very clean, wonderful central location and friendly reception staff. The breakfast was fine and was replenished continiously. We had a room on the ground floor at the back, which was very roomy and quiet, but very dark as the lighting was shocking. The only other complaints we found was that the water in the bath took ages to drain away, and the extractor fan in the bathroom didn't seem to work. Apart from that, we will definitely have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone, as these are just minor nuisances and everything else makes up for it.

We're just back from a 4-day stay at the Nova. A lovely, friendly hotel, located in five linked 17th-century town houses, beautifully restored, situated just behind the Royal Palace in Dam square, in easy reach of the museums, galleries, the flower-market and many restaurants and cafes, and close to a large supermarket. Bright, fresh, high-ceilinged rooms with large windows looking onto a broad tree-lined road with trams (which are not very noisy and you soon get used to them). Comfortable beds. Friendly and helpful staff. Good continental buffet breakfast. A Connexxion bus runs every 15-20 minutes from Schiphol airport, takes about 1/2 hr to the hotel. We recommend this hotel for a short stay.

Basic hotel, but in a great location - could walk to everything!! Great for a low-budget stay in the heart of Amsterdam.

The hotel is good, breakfast is excellent. The only problem with the hotel was that they advertised free wireless internet which was not available. The other problem was that there was too much noise in the night. Other than that, excellent hotel.

A wonderful place to stay, a retreat from the more seedy parts of the dam!

Our room for three was plain but very roomy. The beds were clean and comfortable. The staff were always available and helpful. Breakfast was filling and well presented. We could walk almost everywhere from this location.
