good place for a week long trip. 10 min walk from station, café and restaurants at stone's throw away, friendly staff be warned, break fast costs 7 euros per person and is very basic. but considering the other options in restaurants close by this price sounds reasonable.

Not elegant but comfortable and very centrally located hotel. A five minute walk from the main railway station and a ten minute walk to the old town and the shore. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants and shops. Our room was quite small but comfortable and clean. Breakfast cost an additional seven euros extra per person and was very basic. Overall, we found the staff to be helpful and friendly, and we would not hesitate to stay here again on a return trip.

The hotel is clear but simple. Very good choise for people who don't want to invest to hotel nights too much but need a clean room with a good location. The hotel did not serve any cheese at the breakfast. Seven mornings only jam with the croissants...would need some alternatives. Also the breakfast would be complimentary.

I stayed in a single room for just one night. I needed something close to the station, but obviously I was not aware that Gare de Nice Ville and Gare routiere are two very different things, so the location turned to be not so convenient for my pourposes. But otherwise, it's near Gare de Nice ville, not far from the beach, and close to the center of Nice. However, the immediate surroundings are not too much pictoresque, with a great number of Chinese and other Ethnic restaurants and respectively foreigners from those countries as well. The room was rather greasy, and not very clean, but for the price of 62 Euros I could not find anything else near the station. The night staff was very helpful and nice, while the daytime staff for unknown reasons kept silent everytime I said "Hello" on my way back to the Hotel's tiny lobby. Overall, if you have a better option than Normandie, you better go for it...But if you're looking for a cheap place, somehow not far from the sea and the center, probably Normandie wouldn't disappoint you too much.

Good location, close to railway station and tram. Staff were friendly and helpful. Quiet. Facilities were very basic but adequate. Our room looked a bit 'worn'. Breakfast was ok, but a bit expensive at EUR7 per person. Otherwise, reasonable value for money.

This was our 5th stay in the same hotel. The hotel is very good for some day, for sleep in there. On the streets, there are many shops and bars. You can have your breakfast in the bar on the corner ( rue d'Alsace Loraine and rue d'Angleterre), opposite of the Police Departement. The tables are like newspaper. If you come from the hotel you have to turn right and after 20 meters there is this very nice bar. You must see the 2 beautiful villages EZE-sur-Mer and Beaulieu-sur-Mer. In Cannes the Downtown is very nice, in the morning there is a big market. If you go in the downtown from the bus station after 25 meters you will see a little bar. (On 1st corner of rue Saint-Antonie). The are the sadwiches very big and very GOOD!

I enjoyed my stay there. Quiet hotel and friendly personnel with reasonnable price. The sourroundings (near the train station, Jean Medecin avenue and not far from the beach and the "vieux Nice") was very interresting. However I regret that my room smells cold tobacco every morning.

At the same price (110 euro) I found a wonderful quadruple room in a graet residence in Aix-en-Provence. I think that 110 euro for a quadruple room in a Hotel like Normandie Hotel is too much. But the problem is that Nice IS NOT CHEAP (and not so beautiful as other places in Provence and Cote Azur). Normandie Hotel is maybe THE CHEAPEST HOTEL IN NICE!

It's quite close to the train station. Some staff are not very friendly. The room is quite small. It's very difficult to find a parking place since the streets are already filled up with cars. Finally we end up parking in the train station but it's expensive (12 Euro a day).

The hotel receptionist are very friendly, accomodating. Only the capacity of the airco is not sufficient to cool the entire room. And the showerroom is very small. The rest is good and we did enjoy our stay. I'm sure i will be back.

If i think about the very low price I only can say it was great. Clean and the people were polite. The 3 bedroom was big enough. But the 4 bedroom was to small. Because the 4th bed was some kind of an chair you could make into a bed. And the room was only a litle bit biger than the 3bed-room.

This was our third stay in the hotel. It is very clean, and the staff is very nice. The price is low and quality is high. This is not a 5-star-hotel, but for this money the quality is perfect.

Without parking near the hostel (no more places), I had to park my car at the railway station (3min far away) and it's quite expensive. But the parking of the hostel was expensive too... The really bad point of the hostel is a little and expensive parking. The other things are OK.
