Very unfriendly staff. When we arrived they seemed to be checking us out before they decided if they would give us the room. If it wasn't for the fact I'd lose my deposit I would have gone to another hotel.

Reasonable price for the quality of hotel in the area. Very pleasant and welcoming receptionist and breakfast staff, and any problems reported, such as light bulb not working, were dealt with efficiently. Not sure I'd want to stay there in winter as the windows didn't close properly. The one major difference between the hotel described in its web page and the hotel of reality, was the lack of radio and satellite TV. There was a TV, but only for terrestrial channels, and only 2 of those had reception which was watchable. If we had been staying there more than 2 nights, we might have complained, but we weren't in Paris to watch TV! And it would have been nice to have a bedside table each side of the bed as is shown in the hotel photos! Apart from that, we enjoyed our stay here.

This hotel is the worst hotel we've ever been to. The room is very small(really small)..washroom and bed is also very small. The guy at the reception treated us as if we owe him something...damm rude!! We wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel offered the worst room for us (on the last floor). The room was very small and the the bathroom was so strangely distributed that we could not stand up to take a shower!! If you want to be one night only it would be OK. More than 2 in this room , never! The advantage of the hotel is to be very close to the the gare du Nord which makes very easy to get a train and subway.

A good hotel for the money. Near to metro 200m. With the metro you can go where ever you like in Paris. We took the metro to see all the things that you should see as a tourist.

Hotel was as advertised. No more, no less. Can't beat the price verses location!

We stayed in the back wing which was very quiet. However the narrow steep stairs (no elevator in this section), would not be suitable for anyone with physical disabilities. We stayed a total of 6 nights, and were very pleased with this hotel.

We had a very nice stay, and we were 2 adults and 3 teenagers. Breakfast was very good. We were warmly welcommed. Nice stuff. Short way to railway/underground. Also walkdistance to the most interesting places. Nice and clean rooms. Good atmosphere at the hotel.

A nice hotel at a reasonable price and with a good location. I've stayed in this part of Paris a number of times and find it excellent for easy access to the Gare du Nord (for the Eurostar) in particular and all of Paris generally.

I stayed here for 3 days with my fiancee. I was very careful in choosing the hotel and I'm glad what I chose. Thanks to Venere.com I found exactly what I needed and my expectations were fulfilled by Hotel Nord et Champagne. I would recommend this hotel for those who want to save money and be sure everything will be all right (esp. young visitors). Even location was perfect...3 minutes of walk from Gare l'Est where you'll find fast connection wherever to the city. We fully enjoyed our stay in Paris and we are still remembering those nice moments.

A very nice little hotel 20 min. walk from Gare de Nord and 10 min. walk from Gare d'Est and Metro. We had reservated a double room, but got a triple room. Nice little terrace, where you can enjoy your breakfast. We surely would book that hotel again next time, we go to Paris

Our son had to cancel, my wife, daughter and I stayed 2 nights in a quadruple room at 240 euro. We expected a clean, small room with 4 beds, clean bathroom with shower and toilet, and that's exactly what we got!! As we all know, the average Paris hotel should only to be used to sleep, shower and store your luggage anyway. The other 16 hours of the day you are outside sightseeing! Located 5 mins from Gare de l'Est was very convenient, as was the underground car park at 22 euro per day. 2 thumbs up for Hotel Nord et Champagne.

Good value for tourists. Near to public transportation. Several buses to Gare du Nord to reach Charles deGualle airport. Near to metro station but using bus service at Gare du Nord to/from reach airport is better than metro. Great staff and very helpful. Room carpet could be replaced as it was stained. Will stay there again. Many eating places nearby. From Gare Du Nord take buses to Gare de l'Est to reach hotel.

Good, friendly hotel. Location is excellent - close to Gare du Nord and across the street from Marche Sainte Quentin (which is fabulous). As with all of central Paris, road noise is awful - starts early and ends late!! We needed the window open due to the summer heat. The little restaurant right next door to the hotel is superb! Lovely three course meal for 18.50 euros. The menu is on a blackboard and changes regularly. We'll be going back.

The location is very handy between Gare du Nord and Gare de Lest. I requested a double room, and received a triple, so the extra space was appreciated. The bath had no curtain so inevitably water ran all over the bathroom floor, which is very silly in this modern age. The noise proofing was non-existent. There was a noisy large group staying next door and I could hear every word through the walls. I didn't bother with their breakfast as they wanted to charge 7 Euros a head. We only stayed one night, and it served our purposes nicely, and not overly expensive.

Initially we were treated nicely but there was an incident where we were taken advantage of. The hotel made arrangements for a taxi for us and our family that joined us - 7 people in total. We were charged 100.00 US dollars to go to the dock by the Eiffel Tower for a dinner cruise. We were taken to the wrong dock and left there causing us to have to take ANOTHER taxi across the river and an additional charge of 20 Euro. When we complained to the gentleman at the front desk he said he would take care of it in the morning. Instead, we were treated VERY RUDELY and it was very upsetting. We will follow up with the taxi service because we know the hotel employee received a commission for our taxi ride and the driver made over double our fare. It was very upsetting and overshadowed the rest of our stay.

The owner/manager?? was rude and very French. The young girl receptionist was delightful. The another staff refused to call a cab for us party of 7 when we needed one. Other than that the location was just rightand near the Gare L'Est and NORD. Noisy at night especially since no Aircond and hot days in Paris. Needed windows open. Guess that is a Parisian thing. Rooms were clean and for the price what to be expected. Thanks Linda
