Generally a good hotel apart from the false fire alarm that we were not advised that we could back to room. (we had to ask). Breakfast was good and hotel had a good gym.

very disappointed with this hotel it came highly recommended price was high. placed in rooms with disabled toilets felt like we were staying in an old hospital. the entertainment was abismall they put on a christmas singalong show on the 8th of NOVEMBER. Expected at least a disco in Copper Face jacks no such luck. overall very low rating and would not recommend

Norbreck Castle HotelGood points were the breakfast and the pool/jaccouzi Bad points looks a lot better from the outside, the inside had wallpaper hanging off ceilings half repaired decor not updated since 1970s.

Room, although generally clean, needed a thorough clean eg inside drawers & wardrobe, windows, mirrors and under the rim of the toilet. The first room we were offered was so small that the double bed was pushed up against the wall, making it difficult for a 60+ year old to get in and out of bed! It also creaked like mad and was rock hard. However, the hotel receptionist willingly allocated another room (with sea view!) as soon as we complained. Apart from that, the service was excellent, the breakfast was brilliant and set us up for the day, and there's plenty of parking spaces.

Basic but acceptableRoom was reasonable with jacuzzi bath but mattress in need of upgrading. Totally acceptable for purpose intended but on basic side. Food lacks frills but is wholesome. Good to have access to sports/gym faciliities. Parking generous which is one up on other hotels in area. Views across bay superb.

I thought this Hotel was over priced and the entertainment was very average. The Hotel is in need of a complete refurbishment. The bedroom was very cold as heating went off during the day. It is one of the furthest away from all the attractions, but at least the tram stops outside the Hotel. I would say that this Hotel is very much aimed towards the more mature guest.

the Norbrek BlackpoolThe hotel staff where friendly and helpful, the main room was large and clean, the family bar was a little shabby in places but over all my only complaint would be that the breakfast choice was limited.

It was not the best location as it was a bit too far to walk to the nearest places of interest.

Myself and my wife were recommended to try the hotel for our wedding anniversary. On arrival we could not access our room and had to return to reception where i found a guest complaining that her room was very dirty and asking to move rooms. Once a member of staff attended to our room and we gained entry, the room appeared 'ok'. On closer inspection it wasnt!. We found mould on the walls and ceiling along with flaking paint in the bathroom. The basin plug was fitted with a rusty bolt and the WC flush was partially broken. The windows were filthy as was the surroundings and it was obvious this had not been cleaned for a very long time. The room generally needed attention. We only dined for breakfast and again it was 'ok' but nothing to shout about. Drinks at the bar were a little expensive but in line with hotel prices. I feel the hotel seemed a little in need of some attention and TLC. All in all a very dissapointing and mediocre experience, we will not be staying again.

Weekend breakWe stayed at the Norbreck for the weekend and had a really good time. We were a little disappointed in the room as it was a smoking room and we hadn't asked for one so it smelled a little. The food was lovely, no complaints there. The service was also excellent not only in the dining hall but the bar and reception. The only other negative isn't anything to do with the hotel really it was just unfortunate that on the second night we had a complete idiot in the room next door who was shouting and swearing from 5.30am until he stormed out of the room at 7.00am. Overall a lovely weekend.

4 Day's Business AccomodationThe night I have arrived I reported the telephone not working, I stayed 4 days and my telephone was not fixed, which caused me a GREAT INCONVENIENCE as i was on business and not leisure. the first night i found shower gels etc. the next days NO ONE BOTHER TO THINK THAT I WOULD PROBABLY NEED THOSE TO CLEAN MY BODY. Receptionist very friendly but not further than that in trying to help with my phone connection problem. no one bothered to contact me about it or otherwise. very dissapointed, WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL - SORRY BUT NO! would i stay again ...? NO.

Avoid!Norbreck looks a respectable hotel from the website, but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! There was litter in the lifts, the room key card did not work, the room was small & not particularly clean. I could understand it if the cost of the hotel was £30, but I paid £70 and expect a lot better for that price.

good but could use some improvementsAs a single person I got a lovely room with a jacuzzi bath!! No mini bar which is important to me and the sockets in the room were not near the bed. As part of a group (the same week I checked in again) the room was tiny, the lino in the bathroom was all bumpy, no jacuzzi and again no minibar in any of the rooms. Only one plug socket that the TV was plugged into, way away from the bed and no night table near the bed to put my glasses on at night. Customer service on the other hand was fantastic, nothing was too big or small for them and they were so friendly that I would return just for that~!!!
