I had a prepaid vacation pkg & when I arrived the hotel didn't have me registered & said they didn't have an account with Orbitz. Also they said I had to pay for the hotel....so it took 2 days to straighten out. I had to call Orbitz & they talked w/ hotel & everything was fine after. The hotel did put a $300 hold on my debit card which put a little damper on spending due to lack of back up funds. The last day it was credited so I was glad to see that...because I wasn't sure exactly what the hotel was really doing. Other than that the stay was nice, my only other complaint would be that 2+ blocks south is addict/homeless central some would wonder up by hotel but were harmless. Do not venture south walking though...it's pretty disturbing to see the despair. The hotel has a nice Italian bistro & the continental breakfast isn't too bad. On Sutter one block down there seems to be some nice breakfast places & Saint Raphaels thrift shop was nice too, all $ goes to homeless. Also Glide Memorial Church is awesome! Best Gospel choir ever they also help all the one's on the street too. You may want to take a taxi there because it's on the edge of Tenderloin also.

Very romantic. No screens on the windows no air or heat that I could see.

We loved the victorian decor and the old San Francisco feeling the hotel had. We received an upgrade into the Penthouse from a King Deluxe. That made our one night get-a-way even more special. Everything in the room was beautiful from the decor to the views. We will definatly go back!

This hotel is overpriced, I'm surprised to see that it is a three star hotel, really it should be just two. Rooms are way too small make this one good value and there are lots of "faux" antiques knocking about the place that make it annoyingly tacky.

The location was central to the city. The rooms were very small and had a limited space. Hotel staff was okay, the rooms were small and they did have late check-in.

The rooms were so romantic; yes, small, but not too small. This hotel is exactly what you would want for a San Franciscan feel. Even my husband liked it! I recommended it to friends and they all said it was just wonderful. The lobby is a great place to meet for wine on the cozy couch. The location is perfect. You have bars, restaurants, and cable car right there. Parking is odd, but worth it.

I liked the cleanliness and nice decor. Only the community in which it is located, it is kind of scary. The people were frindly, the room was exceedlingly clean. I enjoyed my stay.

The hotel has been restored to it's original style. Rooms are small and it is close to the Tenderloin District. Nob Hill Hotel is very clean, well maintained and has kept it's original style including the elevator. It is furnished with antiques and replicas.

Quiet comfortable and close! I was far enough away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to get around! No desk in room. I stayed at the Nob Hill Hotel because it meet my budget and location. While it did not have all the amenities that business traveler hotels provide it was very comfortable and I have scheduled to take my wife back for some R & R.

Its charm and appeal. Great value for the money! No central air conditioning. The hotel staff was very friendly and the room was very quaint and well kept. We moved to another room the second night and it was even better. Good location and good value!

Very comfortable beds, decor was very charming, lots of character, great staff. The complimentary breakfast wasn't great, but really no worse than other, more expensive hotels. I would definitely stay at the Nob Hill Hotel again. On first impression the uber-Victorian-ness seems a bit tacky but it's just so cool. Made me smile to come back to this cute, charming hotel rather than a non-descript chain hotel. The rooms are small, but cozy and very quiet. You wouldn't even know it if you had neighbors above, below and on either side. The staff is very nice and helpful.

It was charming, a bit kitschy but actually nice. Breakfast was standard fare, plus the room is very little, noisy and crowded. We are very happy about our stay at the Nob Hill Hotel. We loved the over decorated looks, the vintage elevator, the heavy curtains. The decor is a bit silly, but it goes with the overall ambiance. Our room was very quiet (overlooking an inner courtyard) and comfortable. Only drawback the breakfast room is rather small and gets quickly crowded and noisy. The breakfast buffet is a bit disappointing.

The doorman and the lobby personnel. The choices for self parking. Very cozy, quiet, well staffed, easy walking distance from Union Square, need a little info of possible restaurant choices nearby. Overall an excellent stay.

Fun to escape to another world and time. Fancy. Desk staff rather short and unfriendly. Fun Victorian hotel in good so location.

I liked the all marble shower and the bathroom was very well done, but small. There was no heater in the room, the only way you could heat the room was to open the door to the bathroom and turn on the ceiling fan/drier thing. This hotel is done up in the old European style and on the surface it looks awesome. Your room will be filled with antiques each room, I'm told is very different from the next. But the rooms are small, the antiques are damaged (water stains, water warping etc), it's not shabby chic, it's just shabby. I had absolutely not one single blanket on my bed. If it wasn't for the heavy brocade bed spread I would have frozen to death, because the heater thing in the bathroom only has a 30 minutes timer on it. Parking was awful. The first 2 nights, I lucked out and found a space right in front of the hotel, but on the 3rd night I got back too late so I was driving around for like 30 mins b4 I found a spot on Bush street. Room service was a joke. It rings at the front desk and then she has to ask the on site restaurant to call you back. I ordered a ceasar salad and lasagna. For the salad, I got romain lettuce with about 8 mozzarella shavings and a small cup of Italian salad dressing. No croutons, no Caesar dressing, no parmesan cheese! And the lasagna was bland and only consisted of one layer. But worst of all, that was it, no veggies or any kind of side dishes.
