A very pleasant place to stay. The hosts were friendly and helpful the rooms clean and tastefully decorated. The food was excellent but I would have liked 2 eggs with my breakfast instead of one. I will definitely stay there again and reccomend it to friends.

Very comfortable, relaxing stay. The service on arrival was splendid and the information and brochures provided were most useful. I would most definately return to and recommend 53 Frederick Street .

Very central location. Pleasant room spoilt only by the noise of the clearing of bottles early morning from the pub next door. (No noise from the pub other than the bottle emptying). The breakfast was excellent and the staff really pleasant and helpful. NOT a wheelchair friendly hotel or suitable for anyone who has difficulty climbing several flights of stairs.

The owners were very friendly and helpful, even getting up very early to provide breakfasts for a few marathon runners! Location was superb and the room was lovely.

I stayed at the Northumberland street apartment - what a fantastic find. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere central yet quiet.

Brillantly located hotel at a fantastic price. Our room was clean, comfortable and warm. Our only gripe was that our room was the only non-en-suite room although we had exclusive use of a bathroom out in the hallwall. A minor inconvience that did little to disturb our enjoyment of this lovely hotel. The young chap David who works there made us feel welcomed right from the start and was more than willing to help accommodate us during out stay and was one of the friendliest guest house owners we've met.The breakfast was great and we were glad it was included in the price. However, they could probably do with getting some new cafeterias....or alternatively, don't order coffee! This is a lovely guesthouse perfectly located near the town centre and castle. Its well run, clean and its friendly staff make this a very enjoyable stay.
