In the 18th century the building was a residence for monks and some of the brickwork from this time is still visible. Now a comfortable hotel, it is one of few businesses left in the city run by original Florentine families. All bedrooms are decorated in a typical Florentine style and have been completely restructured using local materials such as walnut wood, marble and Firenzuola stone.
