We stayed in Nirwana Garden Resort for a day. We took a deluxe room, thinking we could see the sea as the picture given in the website.But it was quite disappointing when we entered the room, because we could see only the garden and not the sea.So we shifted to a room in the first floor from where you can at least get a better view.Other than this all facilities in the resort are good.Its a nice place to be for a peaceful week end.

I stayed at Nirwana Resorts Hotel. It is probably the cheapest one among the rest. Unless you like to relax at the pool and stroll along the beach, there isn't much to do at the hotel. I thought of going to Tanjung Pinang initially. But it would have cost me S$100 for the trip. So, gave up. Too $$$. Many places are too far away. You can't grab a local cab. Must book private cars. This is $$$. Food at Coffee Shop was okay. Had dinner there but food quite salty and there were flies hovering over my plate. I saw a fly helping itself to the crabs at the buffet counter. Yucks. Breakfast was good. But when I asked to replenish my coffee, the waitress replied coldly with no smile "I know, coffee" and walk past me. Initially planned to stay for 2 nights. But I made a last minute decision to leave after the 1st night. Nothing to do there. Things are too expensive even by Singapore standard.

Nirwana Resort has always been my first choice anytime I go to Bintan. Absolutely love the inifinity pool with a gorgeous view of the sea. Has a good selection of food and sunset dinner at the Kelong is a must-do! Very friendly service-staff and even friendlier service when you can speak to them in Bahasa Indonesia. The addition of the Warung Kedaton Spa in the resort itself proved to be convenient when you need a quick head & shoulder massage. The full-board spa services is just a few minutes by shuttle to Mayang Sari for those who needed the full bodyworks. Nirwana Resort is indeed my all-time favourite all these years even after I tried the other resorts in Bintan.

Booked a non-smoking room but when I check in the room smelled smoky. Staff was friendly. However the beach was a disappoint - was full of seaweed washed ashore and rubbish. Buffet breakfast range was limited. Also do not expect them to make up the rooms immediately, usually rooms will only be made in the afternoon. If you are looking for some place quite, would not recommend as room's partition seems hollow, you can always hear people moving in and out of rooms and the opening and closing of cupboards next door to yours. Wide range of restaurants available as shuttle service are provided within hotel grounds.
