As a women traveling alone, I feel so safe staying at any of the Kimpton Properties. These boutique hotels are intimate properties where the staff recognize each and every guest. I used to stay at either Hyatts and Inter continentals, but now stay at a Kimpton Property whenever possible. I did not feel safe in the larger properties; might have something to do with the cavernous lobbies and hallways that go on forever. I have also stayed with family at Kimpton Properties and the staff go out of there way to make each person feel welcomed. Quite a few of the properties are pet friendly, but unless you see a pet in the lobby, you would never know it. I have yet to hear a dog barking, nor have I ever encountered the distinctive odor a dog may leave behind. One of the properties that shines, is the Nine Zero Hotel in Boston. It is centrally located for either business or pleasure. The GM exemplifies customer service and attention to detail. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The concierge, Thomas, arranged for a fun filled weekend for my relatives. The Nine Zero is the only hotel I will stay at when in Boston.

WE stayed there for graduation. It was great as all the Kimpton Hotels are.

Very enjoyable stay in a well-priced, excellently located hotel. To be recommended. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. If one had to be very difficult, the lobby area was a ltttle small for the daily wine tasting - but the wine was complimentary, so complaints would seem to be a little churlish! One to recommend, very happily

I was very pleased with Nine Zero. The hotel staff was great, and very helpful. I went to Boston to relax and take some time off from work and school. The bed and pillows were amazingly comfortable. The hotel is a two min walk from the Boston Commons and Park St station for the T, so it is very easy to get around town. As well as Fannuel Hall is less than a ten minute walk. Room service was pricey but what hotel isn't, and I didn't go to KO either as that is not my idea of a steak house restaurant. Overall a great hotel that is contemporary in a good way, but surrounded by history and activities for everyone. My only inconvenience was there was only set of outlets in the room at the desk, nothing near the bed for my cell phone to be close by, but the alarm clock is iPod dock able, not iTouch/iPhone compatable though.

It was my boyfriends first time in the city and we wanted to see the sites and eat some good seafood. The hotel was absolutely perfect. When we arrived we were greeted and treated extremely well. We arrived before check in time and they gladly held our bags. We asked about restaruants and attractions several times to different people and they would tell us the information and then give a small print out of exactly how to get there. The free wine tasting was a treat and a good way to meet other guests if you are so inclined. I would difinetly stay there again.

They had a complimentary wine tasting each evening in the lobby. We had a very nice corner room with a partial view of the Boston Commons. It did not have a pool. Very clean and spacious room. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

We visited Boston for the first time and we did not know the hotel area. We were very happy with the Nine Zero hotel. The staff was very polite and friendly. The room was very clean and the has everything you need. If you need something is not in the room, you can call the operator and they will be happy to provide everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Even if the hotel is a rebah old hotel, the smell was great, and you never think you are inse a old hotel. They have a happy hour everyday from 5 to 6 Pm with free wine. It is a VERY pet-friendly hotell. We missed our dogs so much each time we saw the water and treat bowl at the hotel entrance. We did not rent a car, we walk and took the subway, the hotel is close to great places in Boston. Across from Boston commons, few blocks from Quincy market and the Aquarium, one block from the subway station. The bed and pillow were sooo wonderful! We will come back to Boston and definitly come back to the Nine Zero.

Perfect location on top of 2 subway lines. We traveled with our pet and it went off without any problems or extra charges.

The location of the hotel was convenient. It was located near the corner of the Boston Commons. It provided a good starting point for walking tours of the city, i.e., Beacon Hill Area, Freedom Trail, shopping, etc. However, the hotel was disappointing. The room was a bit dirtier (especially the carpet) than we would have expected. Also, the room's decor wasn't what we would associate with a "four star" hotel. (This rating is what shows in the Travelocity web-site.) There is a very small hotel common area (i.e. lobby). To us, it seems as though Kimpton took an old hotel, and tried to upgrade it to nicer hotel. This is a good idea in concept, but wasn't done very well. Parking costs $38 / day. There was no coffee maker in the room, and we had to call the front desk to have one delivered. The staff was friendly, and the concierge (Scotty) made some phone calls to get us Red Sox tickets just a day before the game. We wouldn't stay there again.

Location and cost make this a great option when visiting Boston. The hotel lobby and rooms are very nice and clean. Our room was located on the street side and would recommend asking for a room in the back as street noise was very noticeable. All in all a nice place and worth the money.

Recently stayed for one nite , have been to boston many times prior but never stayed in hotel. Hotel provided excellent service , restaurant on second floor has nice sit down area with separate lounge. Best thing is location , T stop right outside to get you everywhere plus great shopping right down the block. Boston common steps away outside.

The Nine-Zero is in a great location, central to much of Boston and just a block from the T. I enjoyed being able to take a brisk walk around the Common and Public Garden in the morning. The room was spacious and well-appointed, and as a designer I appreciated the efforts to distinguish the hotel as different from the big chains. The attention to detail was great.

Decor and rooms. Restaurant was over priced. Great hotel, has a contemporary look and feel. Rooms and amenities were top notch and service was excellent.

"The hotel has a number of things going for it--attractive, polite staff; great location; a good decorator. But the rates are steep for an average-sized room--I've paid half that for twice the acreage near Copley Square."

I like Kimpton Hotels and this one was no exception. The location was ideal, between two subway lines. The subway makes Boston easy to visit. If you can manage a flight of stairs at the subway you can take the subway from and to the airport. The staff was professional and helpful. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable.

The location and the staff. The size of the room. Extremely small. The hotel was very well located near the subway. The staff was really helpful and went out of their way to help us. The room was very small. Our room looked out onto a dirty roof and the bathroom had no privacy.

This hotel is in a great location and the hotel bar upstairs serves fantastic drinks! It is a great way to start the night.
