Review of Hotel Nice RivieraIn general the staff was very welcoming and attended to us courteously. However, when entering the hotel there is a very strong smell of chlorine in the lobby due to the swimming pool on the same level which is not enclosed.The price Euro 140 w/o breakfast was found to be unreasonable when it was discovered in the region some hotels were providing breakfast for more or less for that price.The hotel advertised that its rooms are air-conditioned, it was found that the air-condition system was not functioning correctly. It was only the fan that was running and the room was humid and relatively hot. It was uncomfortable.

I said I would not stay here again because I would stay closer to the beach. The hotel is in town a few blocks from the beach but I would have preferred a beach view because it is so beautiful. But it would be noisier than where we stayed. Our street was a quieter section a little away from the activities, although convenient to get to the beach area. We had air conditioning, so we were able to keep the windows closed which was much quieter. They have a lovely indoor pool, and a nice breakfast buffet. We only stayed the one night, went to a casino in town, won, and then had to leave on the train the next morning. This place was convenient. Smaller town and very nice boardwalk and cafe's along the beach. Try the mussels.

We thought this hotel was a little overpriced for one night plus 19 Euros to park (which we were fully aware of before we booked). We didn't arrive til late evening and had to check out at 10.00am (which we also knew) so maybe this doesn't give a true picture of this hotel for us. It is expensive to stay in Nice but personally I felt it was a little overpriced but we used it as a stop over before travelling ont to Mougins so my review isn't really a complaint about the hotel , I just don't think I would stay there again.

Good location for shopping and 10 minute walk to Old Town and SNCF station. Very friendly and helpful staff, room a bit dated and would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facility in room. Air con was due to be switched on for the summer months a couple of days after we left, so we were a little hot in the room and had to have the window open at night which made it quite noisy with traffic and street cleaning at night. Pool was clean and handy for our children to swim. I would recommend it for convenience and value for money.

The hotel is ideally situated for exploring Nice. The staff and rooms excellent. The only minuses were lack of privacy in the swimming pool and a rather expensive breakfast.
