Ngoc Minh Hotel is a great place to stay while in Hanoi for the following reasons: 1) it's very accessible to everything being few meters away only to restaurants and shops line up along the Old Quarter Street. 2) the rooms and the hotel vicinity are clean and well kept. 3) guests have free access to internet. 4) has friendly staff who could communicate in English well. 5) the price is just affordable. I believe I will always look forward to staying here while in Hanoi. Close.

This is the best hotel. The staff were great, very helpful and a lot of fun. We stayed here very comfortable nights and had taxi service to the airport. The room was very clean, the people couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating, the location was perfect for shopping around, and the price is unbeatable. We easily booked our Ha Long Bay tour through the hotel when we arrived, great value over all. I would happily recommend the lovely Ngoc Minh Hotel to my friends and other travelers.

We really had a great time at the Ngoc Minh. What really impressed us was how the staff went out of their way in serving us. Their friendly smiles greeted us every time, and would take the initiative in helping us even when they didn't need to. This made all the difference in making this trip in Hanoi a very enjoyable one, and we'll definitely recommend this to our friends!

The staff here were incredible and very helpful - they even carried our heavy bags for us. Breakfast was huge - bread with jam and cheese, eggs, coffee/tea and fruit! There was no pick-up from the bus station (partly our fault for not giving the time of arrival) but they did pay for our taxi. The only other problem is that there is no shower curtain in the bathroom which can lead to the floor getting very wet and slippery.

We arrived at Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi) with no booking. We contacted the airport counter of Duyen Anh Travel (DACO) and were advised of Ngoc Minh Hotel, 47 Luong Ngoc Quyen, at US$17net, opened just 1 year. Paying DACO, we left the airport, using the taxi in queue VND150,000 from airport to Hanoi Old Quarter. We arrived and found out our room was the ugly one on the top floor (5th floor) with shared toilet. The staff said it was not the shared toilet but it was built outside the room. The paint of the staircase leading to the room was falling out. It looks like a staff room and we will never stay even if they pay us. The staff said Ngoc Minh has opened for 12 years. We called DACO (we took the name card otherwise we couldn't know who to call). After negotiating with DACO and the hotel, they offered us a better room with no extra charge which was originally $25. DACO said the information they have from the hotel is old. We didn't want to take this room either, so we walked to the hotel next door. If this Ngoc Minh Hotel hasn't renovated, in my opinion you can stay if they sell $15 a night except 2 rooms on top floor. The red carpet leading to rooms is really old and there is no elevator.

We booked this hotel on recommendation of Orchid Hotel in Hue and it was such a so lovely stay. Its staff were super-friendly and helpful to us. Our room was big with balcony, clean and had everything we need. Good location, free internet. Breakfast was a bit basic ( not buffet as the Orchid) but you can not get sick from it. Happy to recommend to other travelers
