The New York New York Hotel Las Vegas was a great place to stay and there was plenty to see and do all around us. The buffett breakfast for 12.99 every morning was excallent and the staff were excellent. However, if you book for a room with a view of the strip that is what I would expect to get and not have to grovel to ask for it. That was the disappointment. However, I believe that that is the norm for internetional visitors as everything seems to be set up for locals from all the greeter we met in the hotel. I dare say I will stay at a different hotel next time in LV.

The New Yorker has this slice of pizza stand that has a line of 20 people from the moment it opens until it closes. Although, it takes about 15 minutes to go through the line. The $3.95 Sicilian pizza is definitely worth the wait. You feel like you are really in NY having a slice on the streets of Manhattan. The casino is set in Grant Park, with trees everywhere. I gambled in the morning. There was a little brawl going on between a man at the craps table. The pit boss, and the dealers did an excellent job of keep it under control. I was on my own, but didn't feel like it at this hotel. The gift shop was lovely, and appropriately priced. The pool seem extremely small, but it was too cold to swim.

Due to the uncleanliness of my room, I would not recommend this hotel to any one. I was very disappointed in this hotel.

An overall pleasant experience with good selectionof places to eat. A very busy noisy environment. Over priced for size of room and we had to hike a distance to reach the elevators.

We decided to spend our 40th anniversary in Las Vegas and chose New York New York for its location. It is located within walking distance of three other casinos that are all MGM Mirage properties and you can use your Players Club card in all of them. From check in to check out, the staff was very friendly and helpful including our host, Barbara D.Our room was on the 12th floor and was very comfortable, neat and clean. We had a problem with the hair dryer.I called housekeeping and within 10 minutes they were at our door and installed a new dryer. The construction was not a distraction as we ate breakfast across from the site. We had excellent dinners at Gallaghers and Nine Fine Irishmen and breakfast at IL Fornaio. The staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful with the menu selections. We would recommend New York New York for its location, staff and its value.

We picked the NY-NY at random since it looked like a fun place and was supposedly centrally located. When we checked in they had us actually late by a day and had charged us for a non-cancellation fee. We had just come from camping in the bottom of the Grand Canyon, 10 mile hike and a 200 mile drive so we were in no mood to argue with the staff. We paid with our debit card and they asked us if we wanted to open a tab on the card so we could charge meals to the room, we agreed. The next night we ate at one of their overprice eaterys and went to charge our meal and was told we were not authorized to charge it. Good thing we had cash. Back to the front desk to get it straightened out. Next we tried to use their room internet at 14.00 per day. Again trouble and we had to call the desk and get it activated. Since we were carrying our laptop at time of check-in and told them we wanted internet, we were delayed again. Tried to use their gym...*.00 per day per person. Went to their inhouse store to buy a bottle of water. *.00 for a small and 4.50 for a medium bottle of Aquafina water. What a rip-off. Also avoid the crew outside the bottom of the escalater from the parking garage....they are trying to sell you a time share. We were suckered in for about 3 mins before we figured out were they were headed. We made the mistake about asking about show. Finally at check out they had us checking out a day later and again had to engauge the manager to get it sorted out.

Much better than expected. I felt like it was one of the better kept mega hotels on the strip and to top it off, they gave us a free upgrade on the room to a small suite with a Jacuzzi and very nice flat screen TV. I would absolutely stay there again. It took a long time to check in and out but I think their computers were acting funny. At least that's what the lady told me at check in.

We had the best trip. The hotel is amazing. The best by far that we went into on the strip. We ended up spending a lot of time right in our hotel. There was so much to do and see right there. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I will recommend this hotel to anyone who will listen to me.

The room doesn't provide a fridge for drink/food, doesn't have toothbrushes, and TV is old tube style instead of flat panel which I would expect for a 4 stars hotel.

my family and i stayed at this hotel ,it has a impressive extirior and gaming areas but when we arrived on a 3 night stay, from the window to the bed was soaked with condensation water from the a/c leak.when i reported the problem the staff they fixed the problem (24 hrs)and left the water for me to step in every morning. can u imagine the smell that we had to put up with ?we brought that to the staffs attention too,we never got a response.

I thought getting a four star room on a Sunday in Vegas would be really nice. The room was average at best and small. The front desk staff was poor, the room was poor. The bathtub did not drain so taking a shower was nasty with a foot of water in the tub.

The room was very nice and seemed pretty sound proof. I didn't hear a thing from the neighbors. The rooms were clean with the exception of the towels. The beds were sufficiently comfortable. The inside of the hotel is really amazing and there is a lot to see.

We had a nice stay at the hotel. We had stayed there before. The rate was fine. The variety of restaurants is good even though we did not use them.

As a business traveler and non-gambler, this hotel provided a 2.5 star experience (nothing like a 4star). Cleanliness was average at best, service worse, and poor in-room work surfaces. A nailed down cocktail table right under the AC, instead of a desk. Expensive internet access ($13). I also experienced a major billing error (close to $8,000) that the hotel ultimately fixed - after my credit card was cut off. Did I mention the roller coaster outside my window? Bearable but certainly not a plus. Couldn't wait to leave - and even that took time - 25 minutes as one desk clerk at 7:45am.

The hotel is absolutely great, the only sort coming is that my flipping' room faced a brick wall. I couldn't open the window, lest I wanted to see brick wall.

Hotel services and ambience was great. Up to my expectation. Especially the hotel receptionist was very helpful. Fantastic service. Only bad thing about the hotel is that it does not come with coffee maker of kettle for me to boil hot water for my infant formula powder.
