New Palace Hotel Marsala

Built in the mid 1800’s, on demand of Carlo Gordon, this former farmhouse was transformed in 1998 to offer comfortable accommodation without changing its impressive original and historical look.

In November 2006 a new, fascinating and charming building was built to add to the hotel, offering all comforts needed for meeting events, and total relaxation. These facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, a terrace overlooking the sea, and a piano bar.

Situated in front of the marina of Marsala, a few kilometres away from the town centre and very close to the most famous wine cellars ( Florio, Donna Fugata, Pellegrino), New Hotel Palace is also close to the most famous Sicilian archaeological sites, such as Mozia, Segesta or Selinunte, and discover in a day-trip Erice, the Salt Road or the Egadi Islands.

Marsala offers: the Punic traces; the Graeco-Roman Archaeological Park; the Regional Museum; and the Duomo (dedicated to St Thomas of Canterbury).

Marsala is also the name for a wine produced in the region, which has “Denominazione di origine controllata”, or “DOC” status.

But Marsala is also famous for: The Natural Reserve of Stagnone, founded to protect this important area of western Sicily and characterised by shallow waters and rich in fauna and flora; and The Salt Pans, whose origins go back to the Phoenicians who, thanks to the geographic and climatic conditions of this area, installed some basins where sea water came into and from which they could extract salt.

In addition to this, Marsala allows you to easily reach: Erice; Selinunte; Segesta; Mazara del Vallo; San Vito Lo Capo; Zingaro Reserve; and Egadi Islands.

By car:
From Trapani Airport:
- Take the SP21 to Marsala.
- Once in Marsala, take Via del Fante.
- At the 1st set of traffic lights, turn right into Via Isolato Egadi, from which you will reach Via Lungomare Boeo.
- Continue straight.
- Pass the port and, in front of the tourist port, you will find the hotel.

From Palermo Airport:
- Take the highway to Trapani.
- Continue in the direction of Birgi.
- Then, as above.
