Hotel is ideally located for Newcastle centre in Jesmond. Jesmond itself has some lovely bars, just like the one here in the hotel. Happy hour is a must and the tables and heaters outside make for a very pleasant evening. Taxis are available directly outside the hotel and cost around £3-4 to get into the centre of town. We have stayed here twice and missed breakfast both times, due to too much vino the night before. I would in this instance highly recommend a great little american diner about 100yds up the street and left for a lovely brunch.

On the whole, we had a positive experience at the hotel. It was a relatively large hotel, was well-equipped and very clean. However, walking to the city centre would take about 25 minutes, a better way is to take the metro (10 min walk away) or the bus, if you don't drive. Breakfast was good and the area also has several good restaurants, including 3 that it owns. Although the restaurants were just downstairs, the room was surprisingly very quiet.

Added extra drinks from Polo Bar to bill by mistake but removed them without problem when informed this was incorrect and they had not been signed for.

The hotel was easy to find once we got to Osborne Road. It was tea-time on Friday and the crowd of young people outside was a bit daunting. However I had requested a back room, which was very quiet. Would suggest only people partying or out till late take a front room as they are directly above outside drinking area. Had a meal in the Italian Restaurant which was very busy, but the service was good and the food was also good. For anyone not familiar with Newcastle, the hotel is a bit out of the centre but is in a pleasant area.

Only stayed one night and it was very good value for money. We ate in Louis restaurant and found the food to be excellent and the staff attentive but not intrusive

Great location and excellent facilities nearby. The bar attached to the hotel is busy and lively but not as noisy as we first anticipated, our room was above and we did not hear anything! We will definately stay there in the near future.

Location is excellent for Osbourne Road bars and restaurants, and access to town center is only a short taxi or metro ride away. Room whilst looking recently decorated looked somewhat old fashioned, but was comfortable and clean. There was a good choice at breakfast, a night porter service and they let us check in early. Slightly over-keen to service the room on the morning - use the "do not disturb sign"! In all it was good for an overnight or weekend stay in a great location without being anything special. Alot of the hotels on this road have stag and hen groups staying, including this one, something to bear in mind when chosing where to stay - we had a peaceful night though.

A lovely Hotel set in the happen place for newcastle Osborne Road I had no complaints and eat in the Hotel on my first night and was totally satisfied. The room was nice and very clean but as the Hotel bar is very busy and has pavement cafe style outside seating if you have a front room and wish to have an early night I would suggest you request a rear room. Thanks to the friendly reception staff whose and greet is perfect.

We went to Newcastel for a stag-do and this hotel was perfect. Bit out of town, £7 for a taxi or £1.30 for the Metro into town. Receptionists friendly, room average to good, definitely not for families on a weekend. One small gripe, other hotels I've visited have a help yourself, eat as much as you like breakfast, here it was 1 slice of bacon, 1 20% meat sausage, 1 egg and 1 (large) mushroom (although the continental part of the breakfast was help yourself). Definitely go back next time.

Popular lively spot, 10 min walk from metro, then 5 mins on metro into city centre. Good area, safe but with a nice buzz.

When I arrived at the hotel i was told there was not a booking for me, I offered my booking reference No. but was told this would be no good, as the receptionist had not a booking (that was until she checked her emails) Next morning the fire alarm went off we had to rush down to the reception just to be told it was a fire drill. No warnining had be given to the guessed about this very inconsiderate.
