We were most impressed with this accommodation. The location was excellent and the Bund and Nanjing Rd were both within walking distance. Other places of interest were a short taxi ride away. We were a family of four- two adults and two teenagers and our two-bedroom suite was ample room for us. The reception staff were most accommodating and the 'bell boys' looked after our luggage on the last day after checkout, as our plane flight was in the evening and we wanted to make the most of our day. We stayed on the 27th floor and had great views. The breakfast was ample and one of the better ones in our holiday. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and as far as value for money is concerned, it was outstanding.

Services, facilities and location are all good. It is nice to be in a modern hotel in an old "Chinese" part of the city. The only down side is that its location between streets makes it difficult to catch a taxi without pre-planning. It is more effective to walk half a block to a main street in order to hail a taxi.

I am very happy with my stay, Room is clean, bed is soft, front desk and maid service are very professional and friendly. Wish the Breakfast has more selection, do not recommand dinner there, not professional cooking and service, plus much smallar quantity as showing on the manu picture. I will stay there again, Thank you

For the price, the hotel was okay. The location was a little difficult. The taxi driver missed it a couple of times. The room had a wooden floor, so a little cold on the feet. No work desk, just the living room dining table. A huge crack between the bathroom door and the living room. Had to watch my step so I didn't stub my toe. The front desk had passable english. If you are familiar with Shanghai, then it's no problem. For a first timer, getting recommendations from hotel may be a little difficult. My main gripe. Reservation and cancellation. Reserved the hotel through Travel agency. Reserved the hotel for 8 nights. (stay 5 nights, get 1 free). But due to business reasons, had to check out early. Called Travel agency to cancel, but reps had difficulty contacting hotel. Talked to hotel, (6:30 p.m.) the sales manager was already out. Couldn't get the hotel to call Travel agency till the next day 9:00 a.m. However, I checked out by 7:00 a.m. After I got back from the trip, called travel agency, the rep told me company policy says I can't get a refund. Totally different from what the previous rep told me. Also, hotel never called to say that I had checked out. Working to get my refund. If I can't get it, that's 4 nights for the price of 8. Recommend call the hotel directly to reserve, pay when you get there. Most china hotels, you don't credit card to reserve. Only a name and phone number. I personally will not stay here again. For a little bit more, there are a lot of hotels providing suites with better service and better locations.

The rooms were litlebit ascetic, few carpets would have been nice. Beds were really hard. Loaction was good and staff was polite. Receptionists could have been more helpfull.

Three adults stayed for seven nights in September 2008 in 2 BR delux unit and we were all very pleased. The staff were friendly and quick to address our needs. Exercise room and pool are great place to relief stresses. Self service laundry is available on the third floor or if you wish, laundry room staff can do all the washing for you for a very reasonable fee. The best feature of course is the large living room which is great to meet guests which we did. The neighbourhood street is not the best but it is exciting, safe and busting with local commercial activities. Breakfast is delicious and there are 2 in house restaurants on the first floor. This is a great hotel for the price and definitely a place for one to consider if you are travelling as a family or group.

I stayed here with my wife and 3 kids in a 2 bedroom suite. Although the hotel is not located in a good street, it is, nevertheless, close to the main attractions of Shanghai. Rooms are clean and has a large living room which is ideal for those traveling with children. The bathroom is quite small though. This place is better than a standard hotel room where we are cramped in one room. The staff can understand English fairly well.
