New Hall Hotel Birmingham is a rural facility situated about eight miles from the city center. It’s about a mile away from the town of Sutton Coldfield, where boutiques and dining opportunities can be found.

New Hall Hotel Birmingham is linked to the Birmingham International Airport via the skyrail, which also connects it to a nearby train station. Local buses frequent the hotel grounds as well. Also, the property is set off a major English highway.

The 60 guestrooms at New Hall Hotel Birmingham are styled in traditional décor and feature antique furnishings. Modern amenities have made it to the hotel, however. Each room features satellite television, irons, and tea and coffee facilities.

Built in the 12th century, New Hall Hotel Birmingham is thought to be the oldest continuously occupied residence in the area. It features its own moat, which is home to some of the largest fish around. The restaurant in the hotel dates to the 16th century and features traditional British fare. Several amenities are available on site, including a spa, gym, tennis court, croquet lawn and a nine-hole golf course. There are meeting rooms and a garden pavilion available for rental as well. The hotel also boasts its own helipad.

New Hall Hotel, Sutton ColdfieldHere for just one night (unfortunately). Beautiful setting and excellent service. Probably a perfect place for a few days rest with a loved one, very romantic with lots of opportunities for walks in teh grounds and even a rowing boat for the more adventurous to sample the lakes and moat!

The driveway is long and has a lot of speed bumps but when you arrive at this beautiful old moated manor house (parts of which date back 800 years), especially if you arrive in the evening when the flood lights are on, you feel like aristocracy!! The bedrooms are comfy with complementary robes, water, tea coffee and good cookies. The gym and indoor pool are small but well maintained. The staff are cheerful and quite helpful. The public rooms are lovely, grand but not intimidating. There is a beautiful garden and afternoon tea is not to be missed (breakfast too is delightful). Both restaurants are good. The hotel also has tennis courts, pitch and put golf and croquet. My only hesitation in writing this review is that it might make the hotel so popular I might not be able to get a last minute reservation next time!

fantastic place! lovely grounds, and wonderful atmosphere. Room was great and very comfortable, nice touches with the bathrobes and bottled water. We were happy with our evening meal and great full english breakfasts. Only wished we could have stayed for 2 nights!

Charming, beautifull hotel with class and friendlyness rarely ever found together. I relaxing weekend away with fascilities that out way the price. Good food, not filling but quality. approachable friendly staff. Magnifiscent surroundings and romantic getaway. Would stay again if ever the oppertunity arrives.

Fantastic venue for a special treatWe stayed here as a celebratory treat and the whole experience was just great!The room was lovely - very sumptuous and relaxing! ...the staff were all extremely courteous - including the groundsman who pointed us back in the right direction as we wandered aimlessly round the grounds! ...and the food, though a little expensive, had a novel twist that was worthy (almost) of the extra cost!! Only regret is that I wish we'd paid the extra £10 through late rooms to get a £15 allowance per guest within the restaurant as it would have been well worth it - but we didn't know whether or not we'd be dining there when we booked so it's good to decide in advance if you can.

Lovely retreatVery beautiful hotel. Originally shown to a double room when friend and I had requested a twin. Staff were eager to resolve the problem and gave us another double gratis! Staff stood out as friendly approachable and very efficient.

Excellent customer serviceThis hotel is in the most beautiful building. We had a standard double room which was just perfect. Lovely toiletries provided. Lovely towels and bed linen. Very comfortable. The highlight of this hotel for myself and my husband were the wonderful staff. Every person we came into contact with was friendly, polite and helpful. And many of them were local people. We travel frequently and it is rare to find such a high level of customer service in the UK. Well done New Hall and thank you.

Night at NewHallWe arrived on a Friday afternoon after paying £95 for bed. breakfast, complimentary wine and £15 each towards bar/lounge/room menu. This proved to be exceptional value for money. NewHall is a very impressive hotel. The room was fine for the money we paid. Bathroom needs a refurb but was clean. We ordered room service and the food was excellent. We sat in the great hall with a glass of wine and walked around the vast grounds. We didnt use the spa on this occassion but have in the past and thought it excellent. If you wish to pay for dinner in the Brigde restaurant be warned its pricey! But perfect for a romantic special occassion or a treat.We are going to book again and would recommend for this price.

We have stayed at New Hall several times over the past 2 years. We love this hotel but the last stay on 20th December convinced me that it's now time for an overall refurbish. One of the rooms we booked stank of cigarette smoke and all the cheaper bedrooms are looking tatty but I was told that the new owners are to begin refurbishing this year. As always the food and staff were very good but the food menu has not changed for months always being cooked to a formula, and I have to say that the usual care of food presentation was lacking this time. It has not put us off returning yet and will give it another try again this year. I was glad to see the excellent breakfast has returned to waiter service again.

Seemed everyone was too busy to offer service, repeated requests for drink orders in the bar, long waits for drinks to be served (coffee / tea etc), only ate one meal (breakfast) and had to send back as the toast was burnt waited a further 1/2 hr for it to reapear by which time everyone else was ready to do something else.

Some shabbiness about the room - stains on wallpaper and carpet, cracked tiles in bathroom and some mould in the shower grouting are not really acceptable for this standard of hotel. Otherwise good. The standard of the food in the terrace restuarant was somewhat dissappointing given the price. I had an Angus beef fillet which was dry and overcooked despite asking for rare, accompanied by winter root vegetables which were just the acceptable side of cold. The cheeseboard which was a very small portion although the selection of cheeses showed imagination. Swimming pool and Spa were v.clean and a nice facility.

Overall the quality of food was good, the breakfast was excellant, however the 'fine dining' was very expensive and i would not recommend it. When we phoned in to the Hotel on Saturday to get directions we waited a vey long time for someone to answer and when you are lost this is not a good thing.

We arrived to find only one restaurant opened on a Sunday with a poor menu choice and an average price of £14 per main course, so we explored the local area and within 10 mins we were in the centre of Sutton Coldfield with plenty of choice. there's a TGI's 2 miles away from the hotel as well. the bed was extremely soft - not ideal for bad backs and the room was cold, heating didn't work well. its a stunning hotel to look at from the outside but disappointing from the inside.

Lovely public rooms but bedrooms very tired and old fashioned and on the small side - bathroom very poor by today's standards; bedroom decor very floral/80's. Didn't experience the spa/dinner so these may be better but on the basis of accommodation I felt it was very overpriced.
