Best in BlackpoolMaybe its the attention given to small details and the friendly atmosphere that Simon and Rhona create that probably makes The New Guilderoy the best Hotel in Blackpool. We hope to go back there on a number of occasions in the future.

Friendly place!Had a lovely night at the New Guilderoy. The rooms are little small, especially the bathroom, but that is really my only minor gripe. The customer service was exemplary, everywhere was clean and presented beautifully, for £38 a night it was excellent value and the cooked breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend!

We'll be back!!!Never done this before but I have to say what a great time we had at The New Guilderoy. The couple who own this place (Simon & Rhona) are really nice people & go out of their way to entertain you & make your stay an enjoyable experience. We had Karaoke until I lost my voice & they even booked the Ricky (falls down a lot) Hatton fight to entertain everyone (albeit the fight wasn't more than 5 mins lol). The Bar prices were good & the food is great, very nice breakfast with plenty on offer & the Beer & Burger for £5.99 was so good it became our staple diet for the duration of our stay!! Superb chips & half a cow in a breadcake, so filling I didn't need to eat again for 12 hours! The room was lovely & the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. All in all I can't big this place up enough & will be going back as soon as we can get a free weekend. Free on street parking's nice too, especially as it seems to be a quiet street away from the late night nutters you get in the town centre. Thanks for a great stay & we'll see you again soon. This hotel was everything that it was said it would be, Clean, Warm and very Comfortable. The breakfast was great as catered for everyone, so no moans from the kids. Really enjoyed our stay here we had a family suite and both rooms were a good size. Have stayed in many hotels in Blackpool over the years and although most of them have been good this has got to have been the best.

Simon and Rhoa were very helpful and accomodating....our grandchildren felt at ease and comfortable there. Rooms quite small but we literally only slept in them so not a problem. Excellent breakfast with full portions for children and great choice. Pleasant bar area. Would recommend for family stay. Good value.

Whilst the room was a bit on the small side compared to modern hotels, it was certainly adequate enough and very well appointed. Simon and Rhona are certainly having a tough job coping with all the decoration that has been required since they took over, but coping they are. As far as the breakfasts go, the cooked main course would be enough to satisfy even the most compulsive eater. Whilst I can eat the proverbial horse, after one of Simon's/Bruno's breakfasts, I was more than replete. Their attention to guests is superb, something that is sadly lacking in a lot of hotels, both large and small. (Bruno is the dog, by the way, and it seems that he cooks breakfast when Simon rises late from bed!!!). Thoroughly recommended.

Small rooms are the only downside to this B&B. However the service from the owners makes up for this. They will bend over backwards to make your stay a pleasant one. The breakfast is cooked to order and is par excellence. You can relax in the small bar or one of the other public rooms. Dinner is available and they offer a unique service of getting in a take-a-way and providing you with the crockery and knives and forks. The hotel is situated in a quiet area north of the North Pier and one block back from the sea front.I will be keeping this B&B in my address book for future visits to Blackpool.

Great location, just off the prom on the North Shore. The owners are lovely people and make you feel very welcome. the rooms are large enough for a couple. The breakfast is excellent. For the price, you will not find better, we've stayed there the last three years. Previously to that we stayed int he cliffs, which is just 1 minute walk away and twice the price. There is no comparison between the two for friendliness, quality of food and value for money, the New Guildroy wins hands down!!

i booked this hotel for my family consisting of three children and my wife and myself. after reading other reviews felt very confident about this hotel. The hotel and room was very clean with crispy white bed sheets, the room had magazines and a PS2 and games for the children. The owners where very pleasant polite and helpful. The breakfast was to an excellant standard and additionally they catered to fussy needs of my children which was gretaly apprecaited and demonstartes how good the owners and the hotel is. i would defintely book again to stay here again.
