NewEdgewater Hotel, where the river meets the ocean, is located on the picturesque east coast of Barbados. On the western side of the hotel is the Joe's River and its 85-acre Tropical Rain Forest that rises to a height of 1,000 feet above sea level. There is a track on the eastern side of the hotel that identifies part of the path of the old railway line. This railway line carried passengers and cargo during the period 1881 to 1937 from the island's capital Bridgetown to Belleplaine, located a few miles up from the hotel. This unique property consisting of 24 rooms and suites, has a history dating back to the seventeen hundreds. The present owners have managed to incorporate the antique with the modern by retaining a significant amount of its hand carved mahogany furniture. The hotel's in-house restaurant, The Cliffside, provides a choice of seating locations. Diners can relax in the outdoor area that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, or sit inside and enjoy the cool fresh breezes of the ocean. The restaurant is well-known for its Bajan (local) cuisine, especially its Sunday buffet and provides a wide choice of culinary delights which can be ordered from its affordable a-la-carte menu. What are your breakfast options?: Rooms include a daily complimentary continental breakfast, also available in our restaurant is our ala carte menu where guest can order. Breakfast is served from 7:30 am - 11:00 am daily excluding Sunday, which finish at 10:00 am.
What transport is available to get around?: Public transportation is available all over the island. The bus costs US$1.00. Taxis can be arranged at front desk and rental cars can be delivered to the hotel or picked up at the airport.

Airport transfer to the hotel, is approximately US$37.50 (one way) for 1-2 passengers with luggage to fit in a car. If traveling with a surfboard, the cost is US$55.00.
