Once a grain store, Nether Grange is located in the centre of the quiet harbour village of Alnmouth in Northumberland. The country house, designated non-smoking, has 26 en-suite bedrooms, equipped with a hairdryer, clock radio and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. Televisions and telephones are not provided in the bedrooms. Non en-suite bedrooms are also available. The country house has a dining room with stunning sea views and the croquet lawn extends the length of the house to a delightful sun terrace overlooking a golf course and the beach. Guests can relax in the bar, lounge and conservatory. Meals are served in an informal, friendly atmosphere at tables for up to eight guests. A three-course dinner is served at 7 to 7.30pm for a charge of 18 GBP per person. If you would like to dine at the country house please contact the house before 6pm to make your dinner reservation. A choice of full English or continental breakfast is offered. To allow you to make the most of your touring or walking holiday, a self-select picnic lunch can be provided for the small charge of 10 GBP per person. Street parking is subject to availability. Please notify the country house in advance if you intend to arrive after 10.30pm. Bedrooms are available from 2.30pm on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure.The country house is an excellent base for those on an activity or walking holiday interested in discovering Northumberland's Heritage Coast or Coastal Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Other nearby attractions include Eldingham castle. Bamburgh castle, Druridge Bay Country Park and the holy island of Lindisfarne. This country house as a 4-star Visit Britain rating.

Transportation:

Take A1 to Alnwick. From Alnwick take A1068 south. At Hipsburn roundabout turn left on to B1338 and right at Alnmouth roundabout. Continue down Northumberland Street and turn left into Pease's Lane. House is on the left.

on the top floor the accomodation was very basic and not en-suite. a slightly strange sort of place

Short break heavenThe hotel was lovely and in a good location. The room was very clean, well presented and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. There is no car parking on site but plenty of places to park around the hotel and nearby. We came for a short break to "chill out" and recharge our batteries. There were plenty of pubs with lovely beer gardens and good food. The walks along the beech were beautiful. A fantastic weekend (helped by the red hot weather of course). Thanks to all the staff at Nether Grange.

Great place, amazing value for money, great food, breathtaking viewsBeautiful hotel, great rooms, really good beds, fab breakfast - if you tell them you are on bed and breakfast they don't make you sit with the walkers ! Evening meal is available at £18.00 for 3 course - again, fantastic value. Great view from window over the back end of the village, part of gold course and loads of the bay, just breathtaking. Great bar, excellent service all round. The HF group do a very wide selection of holidays, including salsa, dancing, cycling, and many many more, which I wouldn't have found out about had we not stayed here. The only thing to remember is that the main entrance is on pease hill not the main road at the bottom. There is limited parking on the road outside, but more spaces available 5 mins away

Very friendly, made to feel very welcome. Great location for a walk in the evening on the beach and some nice pubs in the village. Used by groups on week long walking holidays so I was the only person there as B&B.

The room was fine but lacked a TV, which was unusual in this day and age. The group table arrangement for breakfast was not my thing either. The hotels style was of an "inclusive" nature, which was not obvious in the laterooms information.
