I would definitely stay at the Nativo Hotel again when returning to Albuqueque

Nice interior decorating. The movies were expensive. The interior modeling was nice but that was it. Stay overnight was okay and quiet.

The Nativo was a welcome experience In New Mexico. It is beautiful, comfortable beds, friendly service, and definately a bargain for the price. I would recommend to all, it is a gem.

Everything was very nice the room was clean. And the Wireless did work. Unlike alot of other places I have stayed at. The worse thing I can say about the drinks at the bar left a little bit.

During our stay (for the Indian Health Care Conference), we Native Americans were quite discriminated against; how? Several of our committee members and attendees were treated disrespectfully, impatiently and hostile. The support staff did a great job...at one point I tried to get a refrigerator and they had this older lady about 5'1" bring up a 40 pound refrigerator when one of the men at Nativo Lodge could have done it. Also our meeting/conference room was not set up as agreed upon and thus our agenda had to be changed thus affecting our presenters, whom drove many miles to come to Albuquerque. Upon check out one of our committee memebers overhead a staff at Nativo Lodge state, "Are they are gone?" With another replying and pointing at the committee member, "No, there is still one here." The majority of our presenters, attendees and committee members are Native American, specifically Navajo/Dine. And with the hotel decor of Native American art and music I feel that Nativo should change thier name to something eles because they were not hospitable to Native Americans. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone and I will never return to this hotel to lodge overnight again (even if this was the only hotel open on that day).

I must say this is one hotel I would book again and again when in the Albuquerque area. Not only is it amazing to look around at all the Native American art but the room was exactly what I was looking for when staying at any hotel. The kingsize bed was so comfortable! The pool was being renovated at the time but it was nice to see the concept, an indoor and outdoor pool all in one. The staff was super friendly and gave such a warm welcome. I was thrilled to learn upon checkout that my stay earned Frequent Flyer miles on American Airlines! This is a great place to stay for singles and family alike as well as a great value. I highly recommend it to anyone.

I like the comfort and accessibility. The restaurant. The service was slow, no silver ware or napkins, I wouldn't recommend eating there. It was over priced. The accommodations are great! The location was to access to the free way and retail stores.

LImited channels on cable. Only decaf coffee left each day. Kitchen closed for room service.

This hotel looks good from the outside, the lobby and sitting area are native but not welcoming or warm. It is close to the expressway and has several restaurants in the area. However, the disappointment was mostly in the room and service itself. Twice housekeeping left cleaning rags in the room, several days we did not get drinking glasses (the plus is that they use plastic wrapped glasses so you know they are clean) and the coffee pot is a one-cup maker with paper cups. We asked for regular coffee and they didn't have any on the cart or at the front desk. Most hotels I have stayed at made up for that by leaving extra packets but not here, we didn't have regular coffee all week. The pool area was nice and clean but the pool was not heated so we couldn't swim (it's inside/outside pool seems like it would be a big seller for the property) so not being able to use it was a downside. I know it sounds dumb but they did not have an automatic front door. When you bring in your luggage, shopping bags or just have your hands full, it difficult to open the large, heavy doors. The staff at the front desk was helpful but be careful, they wanted to charge us for a burn in the carpet which we didn't put there. Next time I would check out the room and report anything as soon as you get there. They advertise a patio or balcony but there are no chairs to sit in to enjoy the view and they are very small so don't go there thinking you can sit out with a cup of coffee in the morning and enjoy the sunrise. Rooms are small.

The bed in this room was the best feature in our opinion. We did sleep well. However, this hotel will nickel and dime you on EVERYTHING. The prices for items were not large, but none of it was mentioned in the room writeup. If you want internet, it's 5.00 for a week. If you want a mini fridge, it's 10.00. If you want a microwave, it's x.00 dollars. None of these items were noted as (extra cost) in the room writeup. Also, breakfast is not included even though they have their own restaurant in the hotel. It's 10.00 a person. Overall, it's a decent place to stay for a good sleep and a clean shower. It's just not great for expecting a vacation stay with the amenities.

Absolutely beautiful. Room service menu limited. Elegant, romantic, ethnic and appropriate to the area. bed was most comfortable i've used. each room had it's own balcony. we were upgraded to a larger room for free before our arrival.

Chose this place because of the pool. but the heater was broken. Checked in on a Monday, still broken on Saturday.........the water was freezing. Hot tub was great. Our room was tight. Had two double beds, four people. There is a desk and chair and one upholstered chair. The balcony was nice for early morning sunrise viewing and reading. The mattresses were so thick that the sheets came off every night, sometimes during the night. We slept well with the AC on. Tried leaving the balcony door open one night, but road noise was terrible. The lobby was awesome. There was a table size drum and unusual chairs for seating. No complimentary food with the room. Had to request a refrigerator and that was very small. Once in the room with doors closed we had little outside noise. Balloon Fiesta raised the rates $$ on our last night. Starbucks people will be happy that a shop is steps from the lobby. Freeway is right out the door also. The staff were very friendly.

we were not happy about the cleanliness of the room at all the only thing that was done daily was the bed and towels, no clean glasses no clean ice bucker or bag in ice buckets dust all over the place no vacuming was done , did speak with girls at front desk on several occasions, always told manager in meeting, food trays were left in hallway on floor for two days told front desk still on floor in morning this was everyday every evening we would come back to the same dirty trays on flloor in hallway, this is a real shame because the room was wonderful, the hotel was beautiful, the food was not bad however it was very limited and no changes same menu everyday, so after two meals we went elsewhere. One thing we do exspect out of any hotel we have stayed at is CLEANLINESS we do not fell that his was the case, we have never written a bad review befoe and we do travel a lot

It was very quiet during our stay, and the hot tub was a good temperature. The pool was a bit chilly and the traffic could be heard easily from the windows. Very nice and clean. Beds and pillows were very comfortable.

Four adults in two rooms. Enjoyed the unique Native American theme to hotel decorations. Refreshing sense of place when compared with typical chain branded hotels. All staff encounters were friendly and efficient. The front desk was a plus for the operation. Nice Indoor Outdoor pool. The interior pool furniture was nice, exterior furniture needs to be replaced. Critical comments: - No full length mirror in guest room. Vanity excurciatingly small. - Air conditioning unit 8 inches from second bed in a Double Queen Room. Noisey and uncomfortable. Made sleeping nearly impossible. - Hotel has a special bed program offering to sell the bed set up. All four members of our party felt the beds were too soft. The fitted bottom sheet popped off all night and had to be adusted several times. Needless to say, we won't be buying any mattresses through thier program. - Restaurant food quality was very dissapointing for a Preferred Affiliated brand. Toast not toasted in a toaster, but on the grill (greasy tasting), instant coffee from a machine, buffet eggs overcooked (brown), buffet stocked at 7:00 am, with so much food it lasted the entire breakfast period. etc. Even the ice water had a greasy tast when it came from the kitchen. My guess is that the entire kitchen needs a thourough cleaning. Recomendaiton is to stay at this hotel in a king room (away from airconditioner) to enjoy the unique design. But... definitley eat somewhere else. There is a Starbuck's about 50 yards from the front door. Excellent coffee. There are also several restaurant alternatives within a mile.

Expected better service: cleaning service was inconsistent (sometimes they left clean cups and sometimes they didn't; sometimes they left the bathing goodies and sometimes they didn't), fitted sheet did not fit the bed and slipped off making the mattress uncomfortable, soda machine was empty for 2 days and staff was not interested in doing something about the inconvenience. Could easily hear conversations and tv in the adjoining rooms; too much noise from hallway. Attractive appointments; good food, but no continental breakfast or complimentary coffee or juice; breakfast buffet was unimpressive. It was not a friendly place. Comfortable bed and great pillows. We liked that we could open the patio doors and get fresh air in the room. The neon graphics on the outside walls made it easy to locate from the interstate. This establishment was more like Economy motels than on the par with a Hampton, which we believed they are unsuccessfully trying to do. We may stay there again; it was a good location near the interstates and next door to Starbucks, but we'll check other hotels first because more should come with this package. It did not meet with our standards, and we expected more given the description of the place and the attractiveness of decor.

Hot tub was good. Bedding was shabby. If you want wireless in your room, forget go to the lobby to work. The electrical plug INS in my room were terrible, the outlets need updating so that when you plug in your device actually can stay in the wall. Hotel staff was very friendly, hot tub and pool are nice.
