The staff were friendly and helpful but the excursion representatives were pushy and pesky. While I realize this is how they make their living, they were very aggravating. The beach across the street was horrible. I would not suggest the beach. Nassau can definitely do better.

Well, the first room A/C didnt work-have to move.Ice machines and coke machines out of service.Capet in room was old and stained. The only thing I did like was hotel staff was friendly.

Safe, clean, and conveniently located. Somewhat mediocre room cleaning/ hotel dining. While not in any way a luxury hotel (despite adding the word resort to their name), the Nassau Palm met (and occasionally exceeds) expectations. It was clean and comfortable, well located, and worked well as either simply a base of operations for ones' vacation, or even a good place to hang out and relax. I would recommend this hotel good indeed for the price.

Sadly the Hotel and its staff were not very good. Cleanliness was not a priority and bed covers were dirty. The fixtures and fittings were all very dated and staff not welcoming. The Hotel did not cater for late evening flight times and had no courtesy room or facilities despite the Hotel not being busy, this was very poor!. Old air condition units on the roof ran all night long making a loud noise which kept me awake.

Hotel is on the street across from the beach. I had not expected much, based on the reviews, and so was not disappointed. The room was clean, although the carpet needed replacing.

this hotel was okay. our room was ok but the bathroom had scuffs all over the wall. a waterbug was crawling on my leg. the staff was very helpful and friendly. i got into an accident and they did not have a first aid kit handy. that was really disappointing ....then they hit you with a 10 dollar a day fee without warning for maid and energyservice. i would give this hotel a 2 1/2 to 3 1/2. think twice before choosing.

We had to change rooms three times before they finally put us in a room that was sub par. This hotel needs a complete renovation. It was worth no more than $50.00 a night. I should have stayed elsewhere. It was discusting. The bed was so springy that I now have back pains and will have to get a chiropractor to give me an adjustment.

Staff is so$so. Breakfast bearable. Room view ok. Sanitation not great.Excelent loction. Convenient: bus will pick you up in front hotel. The beach is facing hotel.10 min walk to downtown. Good restaurants also nearby.Also,$11/day person charge for maid$and electricity can add up.

After having read the reviews here I was very hesitant about going to this hotel. True, cleanliness is not at all up to the Northern European standards that I'm used to, and furniture and fixtures were very worn. The overall impression was shabby. The carpet in our room was disgusting, like that stuff you see on How Clean is Your House. There's a lot of noise from traffic and A/C and one of the three pools was out of use. But I had earplugs so could sleep OK. However, the hotel location is good, a short walk from Downtown and Lighthouse beach is right across the road. The staff was friendly and we got to check in immediately when we arrived around noon. We also got to store our luggage for free when we left. There's taxis right outside. s a great character and will tell you all about the Bahamas. But make sure to agree on the fare before jumping in. The breakfast that is included in the room price was continental in style, lots of sweet pastries and muffins. The coffee was horrible though and the coffee pot looked like no-one ever cleaned it. But if you're not too fussy about where you stay then this hotel is OK. Although next time I will check in somewhere more expensive and nice!

When I entered the hotel i was disgusted from the roaches crawling all over the floor. The wall paper was chipping. The pools were green with slime. The water was unthinkable. I rushed myself to the hospital after dehydrating. Im thinking about pressing charges against the hotel. It all depends on how i feel when i get out of this wheel chair from falling in the hotel shower. Thank You

I was not looking for a fancy place but the online pictures are deceiving, probably taken when the hotel was opened a long time ago. The hotel is in need of an immediate overhaul and should be avoided specially if traveling for business purposes. The rooms are dirty: the fabrics are either stained or worn out, the carpets heavily soiled with plenty of debris close to corners or joints to the walls, the paint is in bad condition, the ironing board cover was burned, sheets and pillows were smelly and missing closet doors and pulls were evident. The AC was very noisy although replaced upon request the next day. The bathroom is small and wasn't pristine clean: there were even women's hair on walls and shower floor upon arrival; the towels are small, worn out ant with a 30% polyester content. When I woke up to shower at 5:00am, there wasn't even hot water: even after 10min of letting it run, nothing changed and had to shower with cold water. Although the staff is friendly, do not expect any kind of assistance after "regular office hours". When at 8:00pm I left my room to buy a soda, I reported to the front desk that all the nearby corridor lights to my room were out, they say that they will check them the next day. They didn't even bother to offer to assist me back to my room. When I dialed to request a "wake up call", no one ever answered the phone. Seriously cleanliness is a big problem in this hotel. I came in and out of my room several times a day and never saw or heard a vacuum cleaner. Rooms are straightening every day but the bathroom is not cleaned or all towels replaced on a daily basis.

I had done a lot of research before choosing a hotel to go with and I'm so happy that I decided to go with this hotel. My friend and I were essentially looking for a clean place to sleep and shower with easy access to activities. We had been told to stay on Cable Beach, but upon arriving on island I realized how far from everything Cable Beach was. From the Nassau Palm Hotel we were able to walk to Arawak Cay aka The Fish Fry and downtown. The Fish Fry is a local hotspot where you can get great Bahamian food with the local atmosphere and live music. Downtown Nassau is really where most of the restaurants and shopping is. The straw market is not much to rave about...most fake Gucci purses and crappy t-shirts, but worth looking around to find some authentic crafts like a lot of the wood carvings. Senor Frogs seems to be the happening place to go out, but the whole town is pretty dead when there isn't a cruise ship in port...maybe different during the summer. Ultimately, we were there for a dive trip. We went with Bahama Divers which has a shop on Paradise Island. Paradise Island is also just a short taxi ride and is where Atlantis is. You can tour around Atlantis on your own, but would go during the day since most of the animal exhibits are outside. All in all the island is very expensive..the food, taxi rides (gas is 5.00/gallon), and drinks. However, the people are all very nice everywhere we went. The hotel's service was excellent and the location is very safe. There is a police station in between the hotel and downtown right on the beach so we could walk around at 2 a.m.

The room was clean and had a nice view. The bathroom was in sad shape the toilet paper had fallen out of the wall and you could tell it was repaired numerous times . The toilet had broken parts in the back but they did fix it 2 days later . I didnt complain because i didnt want any extra visits to my room.the room had a great view and the hotel was in a great location close to the cruise port and fish fry restuarants. The breakfast was better then i expected

It's located in the downtown area. Eventhough the room was serviced, the carpeting was filthy and the room smelled moldy-so did the hotel! I was not told about the maid and energy fees until I reached the hotel ($11 per day). I was also burned out of $10 by a time share sales person.

My friends and i booked a week stay at this hotel last May and we were told it was close to downtown and anywhere else you would want to go.Upon arrival we were told about a $10 a day maid charge we knew nothing about and im sure that was a waste of our money because our room was dirty the shower bottom was black! We had bugs crawling all over the place and the floor had stains all over it.The pools were green and disgusting! After the 3rd day i was ready to leave and looked for a flight home. That same day we came home from the beach and the water was shut off in the building. When we asked the front desk they said they didnt know when the water would be turned back on! I was not having that so I asked for a manager and they said there wasnt one available so I asked for a number to call. After they realized how serious I was they lead me to the office of their General Manager (its the first door in the hallway leading to the bar) We expressed our concern to him and showed him the bugs and what not in the room. He said he could take some money off our bill. I told him to credit the next 4 days because I was leaving for the airport that I wouldnt stay another night in his hotel. Eventually we got moved to their sister hotel Paradise Island Harbour Resort on Paradise Island. You would never Believe the difference in the hotels. Very clean and heavenly! We spent the rest of our vacation their on the hotels tab.

The room needed to be painted for the first time in 10 yrs, hadn't been remodeled in 20; First room we got was dirty ; toilet not attached to the floor; several lights didn't work, sliding door needed new hardware to open, was right across the street from beach, but hard to get there with intense traffic, and once you got there broken glass all around so we didn't stay; didn't feel safe walking in downtown area after 6:00pm. Always had people approching trying to sell vacation club memberships.... breakfast (continental) and dinner was decent $. The hotel was not what it was made out to be on web page; we moved to Paradise Island after second night, much pricier, but well worth it. My wife was almost in tears the first night. What an anniversary!!
