We have been to all inclusive resorts 7 times now. Five times in Cancun area and twice at Punta Cana. This was the worst resort, and we are not picky. The Edenh Real resort is nice to look at and located on a beautiful beach, but the horrible service and lousy rude management kills the entire experience. If you don't upgrade to one of the premier packages for alot of extra cash, you can't get a good drink all week. by the time you upgrade you can get a much better resort with top shelf drinks and food. We stayed 5 nights and had a real hard time booking any of the restaurants before 9:00 p.m. We had to haggle and beg to get 3 nights after 9:00. The managers at the restaurants were rude and the food was average. We had a horrible room overlooking a new construction project. When I went down to the front desk the head desk boy, "Hector" wanted to shake me down for a hundred bucks, "Between him and me" to split with him and the check in staff to move us to another room. It totally sucked. Take my word for it, it sucked. We will never go back to Eden or any resort with Real in the name. If you choose to go to this resort, or any other with so MANY BAD reviews, it's your own fault.

Our family never took an all-inclusive vacation before and we really enjoyed it. The hotel and rooms were super clean and every staff member we interacted with was extremely helpful and friendly. I went for the beach and was not disappointed. Plenty of shady places and lounge chairs and a short walk to the daytime buffet and bars. When we checked-in we required one room with two beds and received two rooms with king beds. Also, found out that the room set-up included a wide open bathroom with no privacy (my fault, didn't read the room description fully). Not a problem for me and my husband but a little much for our two adult children. They gave us one free upgrade to the Paradise Club and solved the problem. Always found something at the buffet. One negative was the special restaurants. Reservations were tough to get and the Italian restaurant was not worth the wait. Better food at the buffet. All and all a positive experience and we would go back.

We stayed 5 nights at Edenh in May and was very disappointed! I didn't get half what I was entitled to. I booked the "Paradise Club" which is VIP category. No bottle of rum, no fruit platter no shampoo, ripped bathrobe (new resort) in the room, took hours for maid service. Instead of the adult section of the VIP, I was given a room in the family section (I specifically asked for adult section w/reservation) and got a pool instead of ocean view. The international liqueurs at the bar turned out to be about 5 different ones, nothing special, they had Presidente beer though which I like. We were denied the lobster dinner, 15 minutes massage and the motorized sport, which was supposed to be included in VIP. There was no activity in daytime, everyone was on they own to do what they wanted. In the evening they didn't have any costumed dance shows like every other resorts have, it was supposed to have some dancing at night which never happened. Out of the 4 restaurants 2 were closed every night and the Italian was supposed to have continental breakfast for VIP, it wasn't open any morning. Our dinner was nothing as it was described and the waiters never came back after serving with any water, wine or anything, we just walked out without finishing the dinner. There is no concierge and the jacuzzi is on the terrace with no privacy. In the buffet there are empty containers with very few selection of the food, extremely poor site. The management is trying to cut everything what is possible. For much less money you get a lot more luxury, service in any other resorts in Punta Cana. Do yourself a favor, skip this one!!! Security a big issue. We had people enter the room who were not supposed to have access. Staff very rude and will not listen to complaints. Food average.Grounds beautiful. Not worth the .I wished I had booked elsewhere.

We went Parasailing and the best party boat ever. Party every night with lots of dancing and tanning all day. Great prices on spa treatments especially the massages they were extremely relaxing. Beautiful beaches with crystal clear water and great snorkeling as well as scuba diving opps.

The resort is very clean and modern. The main pool is hudge and as enjoyable as the smaller ones. The beach is beautiful and you do not have to fight for a chair and umbrella. Right next to the resort is a souvenir stand where you can buy paintings for so much less money than in the resort shop. Attention: Ther is no ATM int he resort. The next ATM is in a shopping mal that is an about 10min drive from the resort that provides 4 daily free shuttles. If you upgrade to Paradise Club, you can expect an ocean view room with a jacuzzi tub on the balcony. You also have free internet in the Paradise Club Lounge where you also check in seated. Otherwiese, there is no big difference... you can use 2 more pools and there is a special Eating Section at the buffet but everything looks just like the others. The spa is wonderful, the gym a bit small with 2 treadmills, 1 cross trainer and some exercise machines. The staff is very nice but not too extreme... which I like. There is a casino with slot machines, roulette and jack blak tables. The daily night shows are fun but do not expect the NYC Ballett. The rooms are very clean and they check in several times a day for clean towels or to fill up the regrigerator with soda and beer. The roomservice is prompt and 24h for Paradise Club members. A small tip ($2) foir delivery is appreciated. The food is the only thing I can not call excellent. It was good but not great. I do not see why anybody would not enjoy this resort!

I think the resort is under staffed and needs better management. The staff tried to do there best but there were just not enough to go round. The mosquito's are very bad!!! I tried getting extra pillows and asked over four times and never got them. The food in the buffet was the same four days in a row. After four days of mosquito duty, no pillows and not a lot of activities I decided to leave. I love the country and would go back but not to this resort.

My partner and I were quite skeptical because we had read so many negative reviews of this resort on various websites. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the hotel staff, sent to the paradise club check-in area, upgraded, and then escorted to our room on a golf cart. Good first impression. The room itself was a little muggy at times but once we got the AC working and the fan, it was comfortable, there was construction going on but it wasn't a distraction, never kept us from sleeping, etc, and we were on the side of the resort closest to the construction but facing the interior/pool area. The hotel grounds are beautiful, as was the water. The food was so-so, but it wasn't inedible as some travelers suggest. It definitely wasn't 5-star, maybe 3 (we've stayed at Excellence Playa Mujeres (cancun), that is a definite 5-star all around). The mosquitos can be a problem, but we read about that before hand so came prepared with Off and sun screen that included bug repellant (mosquitos were mostly out at night). To help I just sprayed the spray around the doorway and put a towel at the bottom of the door to prevent any bugs from creeping it, really wasn't a problem. The service was okay, best service was at the pool bar on the construction side, nearest the area where you get towels. [...] was the bar tender and he was phenomenal, very attentive, even let me have fun and make my own drinks. For the money, this was a great deal, we paid $700 flat for 6 nights, and would have had no problem staying another night. We rented a car and drove to Santo Domingo, very far, go with a tour if that is something you want to do, as the roads are not that great and traffic goes anywhere and everywhere. For us, it was a great vacation, probably would consider going back if we could get the paradise club option for as cheap as we did, definitely not 5 star though. Bowling alley on-site is a plus.

Still working on the finishing touches the hotel was an excellent choice for our vacation plans. Everybody in our group had a great time, the beach was great, the room clean and comfortable. I loved the bathroom shower and the Jacuzzi. The staff was friendly and the food superb!!!! breakfast, lunch and dinner Wow!!!! The New Year's Eve dinner and show was AMAZING we all had a lot of fun - We travelled with teens, a college girl and a grandma to meet with friends and we have the most wonderful memories of our stay at the Edenh Real Arena

Hotel it self is great, good location, beach was amazine, room was good, but the service was pool.for room service have to call for 1/2 hour non stop before can speak with some one, at the bar have to wait 20 to 25 min. before get a drink, they only have a bartender at the main bar. I don't who is running this hotel, but whoever it is should get fire, a hotel with everything the you need to be a 5 stars, but service of a 3 stars.

OK I will start with the BEACH!! Absolutly breathtaking!! Has to be the most beautiful beach I have ever been to in person!! Take the trip also to Saona island it also is magical!! See your toes in 5 ft. of water! amazing!Ok now resort: [...] and waiter [...]!! AWESOME!!! No Customer Service there!! I guess they figure you are in another country you cant just leave you have no choice but to deal with B.S. We asked [...] in the paradise club about the time of the free shuttle that would come and take you to Hard Rock Cafe that is also a tourist mall blah blah and we went. We were dropped off at 430pm and told to meet back at 530pm and the driver showed up finally at 630pm and went into the mall and told us he wasnt taking us back for 2 hrs. we were stranded there and it is very scary there! Outside the resort is nothing but slum and bums!!! we had to pay big money to get back 1 mile to the resort!! As soon as we arrived back i spoke to [...]and he said it is free like why are we complaining about a free service. Understand this.....they are all in it together....shuttle in with high taxi service!! I would never ever step foot back in that country even if it was free!! Food::: GROSSSSSSS if you have already booked i am sorry if you havent go somewhere else!! BRING YOUR OWN FOOD!! it is nasty! they reuse all the leftovers for days!! from the buffets to the rests. Do not waste time going to the american rest. u may as well gag yourself instaed it is horrificly disgusting!! Hibachi is the best get it every day u r there or live off of cake and fruit like i did some potatoes are ok if you can find fresh ones!! Buffet is ok but mostly leftovers and wierd food like blood sausage yuk!! or raw ground beef. Do not eat hamburgers have bones all in it yuk!! Room service order ham, tuna, or club sandwiches those are edible bread is kinda stale but edible! Beware....everything there is a scam all everyone wants there is your money! from the time u get on the plane til time you go

The hotel was very nice but the food wasn't very good, other than in the restaurants. The rooms were spacious but the staff didn't always keep them as clean as they should but if you asked them to do something they did. The atmosphere is laid back, not a lot of happenings but then again I went in the off season. My recommendation is to always make dinner reservations and I'm sure there will be something you can eat in the buffet but don't go there looking for great food.

It was a nice hotel, for a decent price, would recommend it to anybody. I liked its simple elegance, friendly staff and respectful hospitality. The Food was OK, I went in the low season, so not all restaurants were operating. The beach was good, but not the best in the area. Room and Beverage services were decent.

Our trip started off sketchy. We arrived at the hotel, checked in and went to our rooms. On the way we noticed that NONE of the pools were open. Some were empty while the others were filled with mucky water. We were super bummed! After asking around, we realized that the day before, the DR had 18hrs straight of rain which left a lot of debris in the pools and around the resort in general. We were informed that the pools would be up and running as normal the next day. It ended up taking 2 days before all pools were open as normal. With that said, considering this bad taste in our mouths, we had an incredible time at this resort. They staff was very friendly and willing to accommodate all of our needs/wants. This resort was one of the best we've been too - and my fiance and I have been to quite a few resorts in different countries. The beach was by far the most beautiful and it wasn't cramped - plenty of room under the palapas. We DEFINITELY plan to return! The only thing that could have made this place a perfect 10 would have been if the resort staff informed us of the conditions of the pools upon arrival.

I really wantd to keep an open mind about this trip. After reafing other reviews I was a little worried about how our trip would go. So.. the beaches are beautiful and very relaxing. We did have locals trying to sell us stuff, but we just said no. Our room was clean, nice, and we always had a lot of hot water with great water pressure. OUr room was bug free!! We only saw a few flies and mosiquitos. I didn't feel like they were a problem. They were having some problems with the pools, but they had them fixed in 2 days. My only complaint was the food. After a few days we figured out what we should and shouldn't eat. I think their dairy products just have a different flavor. DO NOT waste your money on the lobster dinner!! It was awful. Neither my husband or I could eat it. It was NOT good. The staff was nice, but they really didn't go out of their way to please you. I thought they would bring us drinks on the beach, but I was wrong. Everyone does speak Spanish with very little English, but we didn't find it to be a problem (we only speak English). Over all we had a good time. If the rooms wouldn't have been nice, the trip could've been a bust! With sooo many different places to travel, I can say we wont be going back to this resort.

This was the worst vacation I have ever taken. Upon arrival, our room was not ready and we had to wait to go to our room. Once ready, we tired of waiting for the bellboy so we took our bags to our room ourselves. The pools were closed the 1st 2 days we were there. Only 2 of the 4 restaurants were open at a time. We were forced to eat at the main buffet which was horrible. Our second day we received a letter in our room to inform us the main buffet would no longer serve lunch and the only place to eat was the pool bar. We could only get reservations at the fine dining restaurants 2 of the 5 nights we were there and our reservations were for 9:00pm. The all-inclusive restaurants charged $29.99 for the best items on the menu. There was no wine selection, only house wine which seemed watered down. The "frozen drinks" at all the bars were not freshly made upon order. They were premade in the 711-like machines and were melted most of the time. The power went off 2x in our room. Mosquito's lived in our air vent and we were bitten all week while mosquitos joined us in the shower and bit us while we slept. There was mildew on the curtains in our room. Not a single blooming flower existed on the resort. It was not a beautiful resort. Water fountains existed for decor but were not running. There was painting going on the entire week.
