I have been shopping around for a new hotel in Mexico City, since my office changed locations from Col. Napoles to Polanco. This hotel is a little better than the others that I have been testing. To begin with, the beds were a little more comfortable than the other hotels; Mexico is notorious for harder beds than the American taste, so I was pleasantly surprised to not feel that familiar pain in the kidneys until the day of my departure. The service was excellent, much like the rest of Mexico. Prices for the Room Service food seemed higher, especially the breakfasts...maybe they know that Americans will be most likely to order from that menu. The wood floor in my room was a nice welcome, although my room was pretty small compared to some of the other hotels that I stayed at in the area. The shower...well, there always seems to be a shower problem in every single hotel in Mexico City so don't be surprised by the leaking or whatnot. Great, central location and close to my work destination while still affordable.

All in All you will be very happy if you stay in the executive room that comes with the european style breakfast. These rooms are remodelled with pergo floors and most have new beds and nice bathrooms. (check the bed before accepting the room, some are hard as a rock) Hotel is located in the zona rosa which is near everything and safe to stroll around. The hotel clientel, Airline personnell and European tourists,and help were all very nice. It seemed few N. Americans stay here but we had no trouble finding an English speaker. Anything you do with this gang needs to be in writing!

The busboy staff was most accommodating in providing help with tours. A minor nuisance was the blinking phone message light. Three times, I asked that the light be removed after I had been told that it was a call from my husband. In calling via hotel phone service to my husband, he said that he called because some hotel rep had left a message at home for him to call me !!! It was a very strange situation and no one could give clear info. The phone message light was never removed and it was disturbing. In wishing to use the Business Center, we found out that it was not available during the weekend while we were there. Definitely, it could have been a much better experience with the appropriately priced accommodations.

We had to change rooms because the water pipes in our first room rattled so badly that it woke us from a deep sleep several times. Our first room did not have hand towels or soap. We immediately called the front desk to report the problem. After two hours, we called again and a lady brought one large bath towel and soap. The air conditioner is our second room would not properly cool the room even when turned on high at the coldest setting. I reported this problem on Friday night and was told by the front desk attendant that she would call and report the problem but did not think anything could be done about it. Apparently, nothing could be done to fix the air conditioner because it was never fixed during our stay. The ceiling in the room appeared to have been water damaged. The carpet in the hallway of our floor was very dirty, torn and badly worn. One of the security guards was very rude and unhelpful to us during our stay and turned his back on me when I asked to speak to a manager.
