This was a lovely hotel, situated in a brilliant location, about 10 minutes' walk from all the main tourist attractions. The square it was situated in was gorgeous, full of lovely cafes and antiques shops. The hotel had recently changed hands, and is now part of the NH hotel group, you could tell our room had been recently renovated; it was very modern, attractive and comfortable. However, they had not made over the bathroom, and it felt quite tired and dated, and the shower was rubbish. Apart from that, I would definitely recommend the hotel, and Brussels as a city, to anyone.

Room was big, very clean. TV was outdated. Internet was available in business room. even though the room was very expensive, breakfast was not included and was outrageously expensive. The location was great, right next to the museum. It was a bit of a walk to the big city square.

Brussels 26th - 29th JuneGreat location, safe and quiet only 10 mins from Grand Place. Bit disappointed with room, thought we were booking into an older hotel with traditional rooms but was placed in a more modern accomodation block at back of hotel. Brussels was very hot that weekend and no airconditioning in hotel !! . Complaints met with the excuse that the management only switch this on on 1st July !! Difficult to sleep in such hot rooms although windows did open. Some issues with shower temperature setting . Breakfast was quite good and front desk personnel were helpful.

I don't like when they don't include the breakfast in the price. That makes the price not comparible to other hotels.

Weekend breakThis hotel is ideal for a weekend break. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast very enjoyable. The room was large and airy with coffee making facilities, and clean. The bed was huge and could have done with rather more than three pillows but it was comfortable. It was excellent to be able to check out at 4pm on Sunday afternoon in time to get a taxi back to Eurostar. The hotel is in an excellent location. The antiques market is right outside the door and the flea market about 15 minutes walk away. Grand Place and Mannekin Pis are another 15 minutes walk in the other direction.

Mms and aahhsThe Jolly Sablon is well situated in a beautiful area of Brussels, a short walk to bars and restaurants and about 15 mins uphill from the town centre. The rooms are clean and well serviced. We were on the quiet side away from traffic overlooking a private garden, although the beautiful church across the square donged out the hours through out the night [which I found consoling]. The room had been decorated but not entirely in the best of taste, with a strong lime green flavour to the fabrics. The air conditioning didn't work but there was a fan. The staff were helpful and courteous and happy to help out with problems, such as baggage that hadn't arrived from the airport. In the lobby there is free 24 hour internet access with printer facilities. My only real quibble was with the price of breakfast, which at 25 Euros per person was a little stiff. However, there is a nice breadshop cum cafe across the square called Le Pain Quotidian which I recommend. I would definitely stay at the hotel again although it was pushing the top end of our budget.

nice lobby and location, weak roomTwo singles beds might as well be one single. Old styling and dirty carpet in hallways and room. I would pay E80-120, but this was 125 and seemed for a last minute "deal" a bit of a gouge.

Located on a lovely square about 15mins wander to the amazing city centre (uphill on the way back!). Slight problem on registration as had booked double was initially given twin but reception sorted quickly. An hour later had to report no normal TV channels worked but this was sorted on our return from an evening meal. Apart from the bitter cold weather our only complant is the cost of drink in Brussels!!

I travel to all parts of the globe and I have to stay I found the staff at this hotel the friendliest I have ever come across(I cheecked in at about 1330 on the 9th Jan)and was made to feel VERY welcome.I am in the tourism business myself and realise the importance of good customer service and this hotel really had it and with a smile and a sense of humour..was made to feel I was a true guest!Well done!

Great location, easy check-in. One of the best things was the late check-out on Sunday, which was 5pm (and a late breakfast until 12noon). This meant I could spend the day walking around and was able to pop back for a break before checking out and leaving my luggage with the hotel until ready to leave. This hotel used to be a 'Jolly' brand hotel and it feels like the take over process is not yet complete. The hairdryer in the room was pants, so ladies take your own.

I thought the hotel was great. The service was outstanding, and the staff was friendly. The only nit I would pick would be to allow early check-in (before noon). Other than that, it was a great stay.

I thought it was an excellent hotel and it's in the best location - a wonderful piazza with fabulous restaurants and shops like Godiva. I would certainly go back to the hotel and recommend it to others. My only problem was with the bed which had a dip in it and gave me back-ache. If I went back again I would specifically request a good bed

Nice hotel in great location. Breakfast (included in our room rate) was good, nice variety of food. Location is great, approx. 10 mins walk to the Grand Place. Some nice restaurants around the hotel if you don't fancy a walk.
