What are your breakfast options?

Breakfast is available at our hotel; you are able to dine in at the Hippopotamus Restaurant which is on the third floor and has a beautiful view over the water front. During the weekdays, breakfast commences during 6:30am – 10:30am and during the weekend, it is from 7:00am - 11:00am. The prices are as follows: Full breakfast (buffet) is $35; a-la-carte is $25; Continental is $22. Being so central to Wellington City, there is a wide range of different restaurants available to dine at for breakfast.

What transport is available to get around?

Being the Capital City, we have buses running through the city on a regular timetable. We also have taxis available and are able to contact them on behalf of guests. In fact we have a relationship with Corporate Cabs where they do a set price for guests going to and from the airport; from the airport, it is $37 and from the hotel, it is $32.

What can I do nearby?

This can include information on Te Papa, the National Museum of NZ which is situated just across the road from us, Wellington Zoo, the hop-on/hop-off scenic bus tour, other Wellington tours, and attractions such as Mount Victoria Lookout, etc. We also have a reception desk which is equipped with visitor's "what to do" brochures. The Museum Hotel is well re-known for our beautiful collection of art work which is displayed throughout the hotel.

Do you have internet?

We have different plans available depending on the length of your stay or the amount of gigabytes you require. The plans are as follows: 1 day (24 hours) or 1GB is $12; 2 days (48 hours) or 2GB is $18; 3 days (72 hours) or 3GB is $24; 7 days (168 hours) or 3GB is $30; long stay (3 months) or 10GB is $15 a day. If you go over the allocated amount of GB or time, there is an additional charge of 0.01c per MB which is used. We also have two computers in the lobby which are available for in-house guests to use. These computers are equipped with internet and are complimentary.

Do you provide parking?

We do have parking facilities available at the hotel. However, we do require that we hold on to the car keys, and we do charge an extra $20 per vehicle each night.
