Comfy bed, corduroy bedspread, interesting color on walls. It wasn't free. Hotel with character and comfort in good-looking town of Livingston.

Livingston is a, quaint, small town in a beautiful part of the country. The hotel staff, along with the rest of the towns people, were all very friendly. From the adjoining bar, to the railroad depot cafe, to the chop house, (all in easy walking distance) we were greeted with smiling faces, excelent food and drink, and all in a comfortable setting. We came for my niece's wedding and fell in love with a part of America most of us never experience. I highly recommend the town of Livingston and the hotel Murray is definitely the place to stay.

Right downtown, funky, great bar and restaurant. Advertise- hot tub not there anymore. This is an old railroad hotel across from the depot (great breakfast in the depot). This is not a holiday inn. The hotel lobby and rooms have a nice feel. Room 402 is a big suite with views of mountains and railroad depot. You are right downtown and all the good restaurants and bars are in the neighborhood. Murray bar is good for music and the bistro restaurant in the hotel is excellent. The depot restaurant across the street is excellent for breakfast and the Chapman bar a fine place for a scotch...

I'm a Livingston native--my family and friends have since moved away--and this is a great find. The hotel has undergone many changes over the years, and I was glad to have discovered that many of the rooms have been restored to their historic roots. We loved the original wood and fixtures, and the bedding was great as well. And, few places have a better location in Livingston. This is the only Livingston hotel we'll stay at when we visit.
