What are your breakfast options?: We serve a full cooked breakfast in the "English" style typically being Eggs, bacon mushrooms and tomatoes. Normally this is served between 8:00 am and 8:30 am and is accompanied with fruit, cereal juice yogurt etc.
What transport is available to get around?: There is a bus service to Hobart, the main terminal is 50 meters from Mrs Currie's. There is a shuttle from the airport but this has to be arranged as you arrive. The airport is some 20 minutes away.
What can I do nearby?: Richmond is the premier historical village in Tasmania with many interesting building. It has the oldest bridge in Australia, the oldest Catholic Church in Australia and indeed part of Mrs Currie's building which is made of rammed earth is the oldest constantly used building of this type in Australia. The Coal Valley in which Richmond is situated is a premium wine growing area in Tasmania with approximately 20 vineyards within one hours drive. Hobart the capital of Tasmania is an easy 20 to 25 minutes drive away as are several golf courses.
Do you have internet?: We do not have internet in our rooms. The building dates from around 1830 and we feel internet is not in keeping with ambiance of the building.
Do you provide parking?: Mrs Currie's has ample, safe off street parking.
