Bed looked like it had been slept in and had a pubic hair on the sheets. I thought I was imagining it until I heard another guest complain about pubic hair and toothpaste all over the sink as they were checking in. Some staff were polite but not overly friendly.

I like the view. The room is dirty particularly the floor on the side of the bed. The hotel view, over looking the mountain, is great. The staff is not knowledgeable. The advertisement does not much in the actual hotel, no complementary breakfast.

The Mountain View Inn provides exactly what the weary traveller needs -- a comfy bed -- at a very reasonable price.

i was disatisfied when i checked in. The person behind the counter didn't speak very good english. The place looks to be in rebnovation stage but i'm not sure because there are no signs. my window in my room didn't shut properly. there were no do not disturb signs. You could definately tell there had been some repairs done to the room at some point. They were very poorly done.

Location was perfect for what we were looking for. The service. The place was alright. Really it was just a hallway of rooms. Nothing decorated the hall and paint was peeling off. The service was pretty bad (the guy when we arrived made it seem like we were ruining his slacking off). There was one guy that was really sweet but we had him when we checked out. Overall, it was OK. Nothing more, nothing less.

Good location in Canmore, close to Banff and downtown Canmore. Hotel staff seem to simply not care. Housekeeping left door wide open all day! The location is fine. The parking lot is big and safe feeling. The motel itself, however, is simply run poorly. It's a fairly new building, but the rooms simply aren't comfortable. They're dark and rather dingy and only slightly above hostel quality. I have indeed stayed in more comfortable hostels. The carpet is worn, the beds are low and the ceilings feel low. The bathroom fixtures are dated and the bathrooms are lit poorly. For the price, I wouldn't return. The value is clearly lacking. Canmore and Banff have many other hotels/motels that offer a lot more.

A place to sleep while visiting Canada's beautiful national parks. No amenities.

Helpful lady at front desk. No one was answering phone or at front desk much of the time. Located just outside the busier section of beautiful Canmore, the Mountain view Inn is neither too close, nor too far away. The views of the surrounding mountains are spectacular. The hotel itself is smallish and quaint. The highly touted complete renovation of May 2008 is not in much evidence unless it was in truly terrible shape before. Door locks are old key style and everything seems to be old with perhaps just a new coat of paint. Overall this hotel is reasonably comfortable.

Rooms very noisy, everytime someone open and close their bedroom, wakes me up. Doors REQUIRED SOMETHING TO CUT THE NOISE DOWN. THE CARPET REQUIRED CLEANING. WE HAVE TWO PEOPLE IN THE ROOMS. THEY ONLY LEAVE ONE TINY PACKAGE OF SHAMPOO. HOTEL RATE IS GOOD, BUT WILL NOT RECOMMEND TO ANY FRIEND.

Location. To noisy. Hotel and staff very friendly. Great location. The rooms are average looking but a bit noisy when people slammed the doors.

This hotel is located near the eastern end of Canmore. Because there was construction on the property next door there were some mud and parking issues for this property. We found the lobby quite clean inspite of the near by construction. We were welcomed and checked in quite quickly. The second floor room was fairly clean and spacious but we found the funishing in need of replacement. Even though this hotel is located in a busy vaction area the room was quite for the night.

Convenient location. Lack of customer service. Not good value for the room cost no amenities lack of customer service Waited ten minutes at counter to check in took my credit card gave me my key that was it! Only one set of towels in bathroom.

Good price, clean hotel, nice room, good location. Small parking area, no elevator, no facilities for disabled people. Nice hotel, clean, good-sized rooms, friendly staff. The parking lot is rather limited and there is not an elevator, nor facilities for disabled people, so if you need that, I'd recommend you to check a different option. Otherwise is a good value for the money.
