good price, good location.

I saw the reviews and couldn't figure out if it's good or bad. Some people said it was horrible, and some said it was excellent. I thought it was money worth. As others have mentioned, the room was not fabulous--the bathroom is very small, and they even don't have a cup and tissue. But the breakfast was good enough, the location is good, the people at the front desk were friendly, and it was not that noisy (yes, you could occasionally hear people talking outside). Overall, I was happy with this hotel--it's definitely cheaper than other hotels.

we were more than happy for the 4 days stay in mountain lodge. the room was big enough with no funny odor. the front desk were very helpful and friendly. The location was close to almost everything you need including to the lift (10 min walk). the only thing could have been better would be an onsite hot tub and internet service. but overall experience was very positive, I'd recommend this hotel for budgeted skier and snowboarder.

We needed just one night in Breckenridge, and we enjoyed it. The place is old, but squeaky clean, with good breakfast- cereal, yoghurts, coffee, etc.

Absolutely horrible. No hair dryer, no ice machine, no hot tub, no internet access. Thin walls. VERY VERY NOISY. If you want a good night sleep dont come here. Permanent housing upstairs rented out to housekeeping and they have absoluetly no regard for guests. I had to call security every night to make them be quiet at 2 am.

Room was clean and comfortable, only I missed was shampoo and bath wash .There was none.Staff was very friendly, breakfast was great. I would recomend this place to my friends.

I read the reviews but figured a short night sleep in a $200 + room would be managable. The rooms were small, old, broken but worst of all the heat wouldn't turn off and it was so hot so we had to move to a different room at 11pm at night. We had the window wide open and it was still sooo hot. I would not stay here again. I would pay the extra money and stay in a nicer place. The location was good and the staff was nice and they probably have to deal with complains all the time. It is too bad the owners can't redo the bathrooms, beds and heating system and it would be a cute LITTLE motel. If you are having second thoughts, even if you won't be in the room very much, do not stay here. It is not relaxing.

The rooms are very basic and not very big, but definitley a great location. If your not planning on spending a lot of time in your room, and are more interested in being close to the skiing and the nightlife, this is the place for you.

It is glaringly apparent that the owners of this Lodge keep taking money from travelers at this Lodge, but nothing is being put into it. It is so old and needed updating at least a decade ago. It was not clean, the faucets had so much built up gunk around them, as well as the tub. The shower would go from warm to freezing and then to scalding hot. The toilet got clogged and we waited over 2hrs for help so we could use it. There were only college kids at the front desk, no manager on sight, no maintenance man either. The breakfast that is part of the rate was minimum... frozen bagels that you can't cut with the plastic knives provided, pastries and cereal. We were just happy to get coffee and toast. One day there was none, however, because someone in the kitchen took the keys to the refrigerators home. The worst part was that the heat was soooo high in our room and we baked every night. They said the maintenance person would fix it while we skiied one day, but it never changed. We kept the window open, but there was no screen in the window, so we couldn't sleep with it open or we would have. The room was so small we tripped over our ski stuff and suitcases every night. No closet, no floor space. We tried to move, but all of Summit County was sold out. The outside stairway was falling off and dangerous. Unfortunately no money is put into even the basic needs for people to be able to stay at this "Lodge" It was not clean and we couldn't even get a decent shower or a decent night's sleep with the thermostat not working.

The room was also a bit run down; the shower had cracks and stains, the lighting was a bit 'yellow' making everything look dinggy, the bedding was not very comfortable and the walls must have been paper thin b/c you could hear EVERYTHING going on outside and in the adjoining rooms. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone for the price.

The room was tiny. There is no way that two people could occupy this room. The bed took up the entire room. There wasn't any dressesr for clothes, just a rack for the suitcase. The heat did not work, and the shower was iffy. I would not stay here again. I would have moved but I checked in and could not cancel. Awful, it needs a total redo.

You get what you pay for!! It was a great value in a decent location. The amenities however are non-existant. Not that I expected anything, but at lease a DVD player or VCR. Bed, TV with minimal channels, and bathroom, that's all you get.

We've stayed here two years ago,but the rate went up 100% All we got for that was a unheated room with the toilet flush not working.A real dump! We didn't even check in and were moved to a sister hotel instead, but had to pay extra for breakfast 25.-$ a day

The hotel was nice though it did not have many amentities most importantly it did not have wireless internet. I believe it should have otherwise it was good.

The bare essentials...it's a place to crash is about it. Rooms are not clean, showers are old and the hottub is never in service.

If the room cost $50.00 a night, that would be one thing. The problem is, it costs at least three times that. There were separate builings, much like a small town motel, outdoor entrances, no elevator, so we were left carrying our bags up the slippery stairs. Its a cheap stay, and right off of main street, so it is convenient, but definately not worth the money.

"This motel is really for a budget traveler. Rooms are average at best, bathrooms are old and out of date. Breakfast is very average. They have the space to be better but need to put in some money. They have No Internet at this site!"

" The hotel is low budget in some aspects, but great in others. The shower was hot or cold and hard to get the right temp. The heat was not working when we arrived so they sent up space heaters. I called and let them know that was unacceptable we had children. They did send up the engineer and he got the heat working but it never went off the one temp. The beds were horrible, but we were so worn out it didn't matter. It is close to the mountain and the staff and breakfast were great. They had hot chocolate all the time and that was nice. I would look for something else next time."

"This is a Vail owned MOTEL. The bathrooms are disgusting, the beds are horrible, the hotel staff are non-existance. I highly recommend staying somewhere else for a few dollars more. "

At the time it was by far the cheapest thing available. I got what I expected. The bathrooms were pretty gross and need some improvement. There was no controlling the thermostat. All in all it wasnt that bad for the price I paid.
