I made a reservation on Orbitz and gave my credit card information to hold my room. I called Motel 6 to let them know that I would be arriving very late. I was told it was fine and my room would be waiting. When I arrived my room had been giving away, Motel 6 was sold out and because the Kentucky derby and big boxing match were going on everywhere else was sold out. The woman at the front desk was unsympathetic and rude.

The Motel 6 is in an excellent location near the airport and near major casinos and give good bargain for low price. Room not big, but OK for one person, clean, no problems.... I stayed up all night playing blackjack so I wasn't in the room much, but enjoyed the pool the next day.....

there was no toilet paper, and everything looked like it had ham rubbed all over it.

Check-in was quick and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable, except for the table and chair being right in front of A/C causing anything loose (like the contents of ashtray or loose papers) to blow off table. Nice shower stall except that the bottom had ground in grime that a good cleaning with a Scrubber would have removed. Returning to my room the second day, I found the bed to have been made over without the sheets being changed or even smoothed and straightened. Fitted sheets would be nice too, instead of the super short flat sheet used which wasn't even long enough to cover and tuck in at the head of the mattress.I was also missing a washcloth. And the ice bucket had not been cleaned or changed or a new insert bag supplied. Another problem was that the ice maching was three buildings away (instead of one per building) in the hot and stuffy laundry room. Upon my return the third day, I found the trash bag (full) sitting in the table and still no change in ice bucket. And now I was missing a hand towel! The outdoor area around the pool is very relaxing with lots of tables, chairs, and beautiful landscaping. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, but housekeeping needs to get on the ball!

Even though this motel was close to the strip I would not recommend to my friends. The service was very unprofessional

Vegas on a sold out weekend can command exhorbinant room prices. The value of the motel six lies in convienence. The front door is right across the street from the MGM's back door and the monorail.

What I liked best with Motel 6 was the fact that it was so central to the strip. Just beside MGM Grand. Can it be better? Also like that the sink was outside the bathroom with a long counter. The staff was really friendly, everyone was happy to help. Loved the restaurant Coco's that was nearby!

The Motel 6 Tropicana was well situated directly across the street from the MGM Grand making it easily accessible to the entire Las Vegas Strip via the Monorail. The smoking rooms are unbearable as the smell of smoke has been absorbed by every piece of furniture, the carpet, the drapes and the bedspreads. Once my room was changed to a nonsmoking room it was adequate for its purpose. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. It was a very standard motel room in a very convenient location.

The Motel 6 was a good value compared to the current prices on a weekend nights. It was within a short walk to the MGM & Tropicana Hotels. The downside of the motel was it located next to McCarren Airport although it was better than I thought it would be.

The best thing about Motel 6 - Tropicana is its location. It's near the airport, down the street from the strip and across the street from the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. Unfortunately, the staff was lacking the kind of customer service skills I expected. I thought the Motel 6 franchise was a bar up from a no-namer. The room was decent for a good nights sleep. Not much room to move around, but it is a motel.
