This motel is the bare bones basic, without any bells or whistles. I booked the room because I had a very early flight the next morning, and I had a rental car to turn in as well. I didn't want to be rushed at the last minute, driving in a pretty unfamilliar area and possibly forgetting some item, so I decided to get a room near the airport. All was going fairly well until the occupants of a nearby room decided to throw a party... at 2:00am. After giving up on trying to get back to sleep, I got myself dressed, and checked out at 3:00am, figuring that the airport was a bit quieter...

I wouldn't stay here at all. I actually left! The hotel didn't mind giving me a refund. Look elsewhere though. It's not worth it.

It's a good value if you are on a tight budget. No hair dryer in bathroom.

My husband and I got into the airport after midnight. We were so tired and went to the first Motel 6 we came to, knowing that we would get good service. We were taken care of immediately and since it was late and we hadn't eaten since 5:00 PM., I asked if there was any places close, and the hotel receptionist was very helpful. End of story, we got to eat something, and had a very comfort room waiting for us. We knew we were well taken care of.

Good place to stay if you just need a room to avoild driving much distance for early flights.

This was a quick overnight stay, to avoid driving 2 hrs prior to a 6AM flight. This was the cheapest room in the area, across the street from airport. You get just what you expect for paying next to nothing, however it was still clean and convenient. Okay for a quick overnight stay but nothing to write home about.

This hotel is very basic. It'sa good deal if all you want to do there is sleep, because there really is not much else to do there. There is a grocery store and Perkins right next door, which is convenient. It is easy to hear the tv on and people talking in the next room. I would recommend it if you are looking for something really cheap, but there are absolutely no frills -- not even little bottles of shampoo and conditioner, not even a box of tissues.

The Motel 6 International Airport in Des Moines provided the services I needed while working at the Iowa State Fair. The room rate was excellent, and the facility is only 8 miles from the State Fairgrounds. The shower has a very good design and the ice machine was easily accessible. I was able to park directly in front of my door. There are restaurants and a grocery store across the street.

We ONLY stayed here because it was available during the State Fair, and was convenient to catch a 6am flight. Bring your own shampoo....

yeah so it was pretty much how i know all motel 6's to be. not the best of hotels but you get what you pay for. and i needed cheap and this is just about the cheapest place.

Walls in room paper thin. Could hear people in next room getting it on and could not sleep. No free breakfast...only free coffee!

The hotel was very close to what I needed it for. very fast service and nice. Only bad thing was they left the dirty towel behind the door and no cleans ones. Very sorry about it and polite. For the prices of the other ones around it was a steal of a deal.
