The hotel was more expensive than many others in the same area but also had a lack of features common in most hotels. They had no complimentary shampoo, no complimentary breakfast. The TV was small and didn't even have a power button. The air conditioner was loud and kept us up at night.

The Moab 6 Hotel is a pretty good deal if you are looking for an inexpensive place to stay with no frills. The biggest hang-up I have with this hotel is that it was built cheep. There is no sound proofing in the walls. You can hear everything next door. My wife was saying she could even hear the next door occupant snoring in the middle of the night. Make certain if you are a light sleeper to bring a good pair of ear plugs! The plumbing is equally noisy. There is no soundproofing with the plumbing. You will be awaken early in the morning with the occupant next door with louder than normal flushing and taking a shower. The mattress was lumpy so it has been a while since they changed those out. I'm sure this is why this clean and simple hotel is only rated two stars. But if you want to save a buck or two, it's about as cheep as it gets now days in Moab Utah.

Do not expect luxury, just imagine a small room with a big uncomfortable bed, and a shower. I would not recommend this as a place to stay if you are looking for a nice relaxing hotel, rather if you realize you are going to spend just enough time in your hotel room to sleep and get ready it is perfect. It is the closest chain hotel to the entrance to arches, but the furthest away from the city center. If you want a place to sleep and shower, this surely does the trick at a reasonable price for the area.

We knew we weren't going to spend much time in the hotel room, so we really only needed the room to be clean. However, the bed wasn't very comfortable and was too soft, as were the pillows, which were small and basically was squashed flat when you laid on them. We had to fold them in half to use them, which wasn't very comfortable. Moab isn't big so the location was fine. There isn't a continental breakfast, which was disappointing, especially when you're pinching pennies on a trip.

We were happy overall, but the front counter staff were very young and more interested in gossiping amongst themselves than really taking any time to help anyone.
