This Motel 6 has recently completed its renovation as part of our plan to upgrade all our locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. The King City Motel 6 is located between San Francisco and Los Angeles on U.S. Route 101. This location features easy access on and off of the freeway, an outdoor swimming pool, a guest laundry facility and data ports in all guest rooms. The motel is also just 20 minutes from the state prison in Soledad. This Motel 6 charges an additional $0.50 flat tax per night, per room.

The Quality Inn was clean, the employees all spoke English, the complimentary breakfast was quite satisfyling, and the parking lot was very easy to access. The air conditioner worked well and was relatively quite. The bed was a bit firmer than I would have liked, but I still slept well. The motel was only two blocks from the funeral home where the services we were attending were held. Overall, my impressions of the hotel are very good. I will consider stayig there on my next trip to Hemit.

The TV in my room (& remote) was not working. Mgr actually came to the room to try to fix. He could not. Check in Clerk very hospitable. I like that. Overall, i would stay at this place again.

While the check-in staff at the King City Motel 6 was very friendly, we wondered about the cleaning staff. The shower had black gunk around the shower door and track. The shower floor was slippery, we hated to think what it was slippery from. It would have also been nice to have had a full set of towels for our overnight stay. The bed was so comfortable, but the pillows needed to be replaced. The freeway noise was pretty loud until traffic flow slowed down around midnight.

I hate to go into a room that smells so strongly of tobacco smoke. The blankets, sheets and the whole room smelled. I went to the drug store to buy Fabreeze, but it did no good. I had a sore throat in the morning.
