Please do not bother yourself with staying at this hotel. My 2 softball teams stayed here for a tournament and we were much less then impressed! There are others right next door that are nicer, friendlier staff, and priced cheaper or equal to this hotel. The staff was horribly rude to our group that had 20+ rooms. We were asked to "go to bed" numerous times and not gather in the parking lot. When we asked for a location that would accomodate both our need for team meetings and gatherings and for the hotels need of noise control, they would offer up an area and then the next night tell us to leave that area. Finally the last night they gave us a location that was suitable, only after local police were called and the police told them we paid our money they had to allow us to take care of our team business somewhere. On top of that the rooms are small, bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and soap, my room had NONE. Be prepared to fix your own plumbing should there be a problem, one of our parents experienced that. Be prepared that if there is a pricing error, they WILL NOT correct it once you've paid, again many of my parents experiences. Air conditioners may or may not work, while they will fix them in a timely manner, should they go out each day?? . To make it all worse, a call to corporate gets you a response of "you should handle it with the manager at the property". In sum, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, there are nicer hotels that are just as inexpensive

The room was cramped with little room to move around. The sheets were changed only 2 or 3 times of the 8 nights were there. The towels were so rough that is was uncomfortable to dry off with them. We will not go back to Motel 6 again.

The room was not clean. The facilities were not good and overall I didn't like it. The was no internet connection available. The only good thing about this place was the location. This hotel does not have any dinning facilities.

Thank goodness for the great staff working at this location. They help make up for the fact that the place is in dire need of some repairs & maintenance/upgrades to accommodate guests. Size of the room and bath were fine, the tv's are fine...but it's apparent routine maintenance has not been kept up. I would not stay in this facility again without first inspecting prior to check in. I have had mostly only excellent experiences with the Motel 6 locations where I've stayed in the past, and this was the first and only visit to this location in Carlsbad, NM.

Great accomodations for the price. Staff was very friendly and location was convenient to get to the caverns. Fridge and microwave in the room were a nice surprise and came in handy.

The Motel 6 I stayed at in Carlsbad was on a par with other Motel 6's I've stayed at in California. What it lacked in amenities it made up for in value for the money. It had ample desk area with chair as well as a sink with ample counter area for toiletries. The only think I didn't like about the motel was it's location. There was a trailor park directly behind the hotel and visible from the premises. Not the classiest of neighborhoods, but at the same time I never felt threatened and I didn't have any incidences of theft, so maybe that didn't matter.
