Cheap and dirty. It's good for a baller on a budget looking for a quick one. Would not recommend for families.

Good hotel, would stay there again!

The room was clean and acceptable, but needed renovation - chipped tub and tile and worn carpet and bedding. The continental breakfast had few options when I arrived (cereal, toast, no muffins, long wait to make waffles), well within the time of closing. Upon checking in, the desk clerk was resistant to my request for a ground floor room, even though one was available. The location was good for my needs, and the room was a good value for the money, but it wasn't a great facility.

Desk staff was not up to date on local historical sights.

Not posted on the website but on a sign on the front window of the lobby, stating that the facility contains chemicals known to cause cancer and cause birth defects for pregnant women! There is no way I was going to stay at this hotel. Also, it was under renovations so it was noisy.

most everything looked under construction or needing repair. drapes were torn, no chair on porch, cracked cement, outside lamp busted BUT bed was comfortable

I have to admit i was hesitant due to some of the older reviews but it's true the hotel has a new staff and owners. You can tell they are making improvements to the hotel now and the staff is very friendly and actually cares. This location works for me so I'm glad to have a clean hotel option at this price point nearby.

I work for a company that shares a parking lot with this hotel, so I go to this area each month. I guess the hotel was recently bought, and they brought in a new staff. Since they did this, my rooms are cleaner, the staff is friendlier, and there is an overall warmth the hotel didnt have before.

The Vagabond Inn Executive Sacramento was quiet and very comfortable, the room offered all the amenities than one could desire with referig, microwave bar sink, couch, chairs, desk and lots of storage, with hangers! the location was near a mall and many restaurants to chose from in this area. Very close to convention center and easy access to major hwy's. Outside paint touchup of entrance buildings would be a big plus for first empressions. Thanks Vagabond for a better than expected stay!

For *, I expected to walk into a clean room. There were stray hairs on the sheets and tiled floors. Our shower was dirty and the ceiling above it leaked water. The areas proximity for shopping and dining was probably the best feature. Was not impressed with the amount of people that seemed to be living there, like it was a ""halfway house"". We were confronted outside of our room several different times, from other guests, for cigarettes, and money (to name a few).

This hotel provides excellent amenities for both business and leisure travelers. Two computers and a printer provide free access to Internet and email needs. Free daily breakfast is more than typical continental fare. (Try the waffle with straberry & whipped cream topping!) The location is also excellent. We had enjoyed our week-long stay and definitely will come back to this very same hotel next time in town.

When we arrived at our hotel we were pleased to find that there was an Appleby's restaurant right next door, and movie theaters and a gas station in the same complex as the restaurant. We were also able to park our truck with a motorcycle trailer in the hotel parking lot with no problem. We had a late check-in time and that was also not a problem for them. The breakfasts in the morning were very nice and the staff were friendly and made sure that you had everything that you needed. The room was clean and we appreciated having a refrigerator to keep cold drinks in. We didn't experience any noise from other rooms or outside and slept well both nights that we stayed there.

We had to travel to Sacramento for our son's wedding. We found that the Vagabond Executive on Arden Way near Cal Expo put us in close proximity to all the events we needed to attend, and the price was more reasonable than other motels in the downtown area. The pool was inviting, and clean. We have a photo we took of a female duck enjoying her morning bath all alone in the pool! There are restaurants and shopping very close by, as well as the State Fairgounds.

the hotel is old and in need of upgrades, but the breakfast was good and the staff friendly
