The rooms were nothing special, we may as well have saved some money and stayed at a Holiday Inn or other budget motel.

The hotel was not like the picture on the web and had very poor service from the time we arrived. First, the room does not have the nice armoire, desk or comforters? like shown on the web site. The hotel is a bit dilapidated with an unsecure desk that tilts, a web of cables below, stained bedding and a dresser that can just hold up the old tube television. In addition, the service was not like the brochures stated. We were consistently questioned and discouraged; when we did not get a recording of course; to use the shuttle service to the Market restaurant, local stores or Del Mar Racetrack. Then the concierge came out ; not realizing I was a few feet away; in a rant saying, ?Well! Where are they?? Her demeanor changed once she was cautiously informed by the desk clerk that I was behind her. She dropped us off on the side walk which was about a half mile away. To make matters worse one of the pictures fell off the wall when weclosed the door to the room. This could have hurt one of us, as it is real glass being used and next to one of the beds. I will not return or recommend this hotel, as there are a lot of better options in Del Mar and La Jolla. This was a last minute trip and recommend doing your research and planning ahead of time.

I did lot my research after finding the hotel here on Travelocity. Went to the hotels web site, where the pictures made the rooms look fantastic. Don't go by the hotels web site and read what they write... "some" is the key word. Expected the nice room, goose down...I did not get the "some" room. I got what I paid for...expected more from the place.

Not up to Par! This hotel is very over rated. It should be a 2 star equal to any Best Western Motel. The coffee and room items were motel quality. The heater/air unit was so noisy it would wake up even the heaviest sleeper. The soaps were all motel quality. No elevators to the 2nd floor rooms. Overall, not a good value even at $80/per night.

We arrived there on March 23 and did not know what to expect. The grounds were beautiful and the hotel staff provided excellent service. They were renovating, which I knew before we went, but the only reason we only stayed a day was becasue we were too far away from Sea World and the restaurant was closed until sometime around noon, which was unexpected. I had a 10 and a 14 year old that wanted to eat breakfast ASAP and we were too far away from anything, being that we did not have a rental car until 12pm that Monday. This is, still a great place to stay, but I would not bring my kids next time as there was nothing for them to do and you had to pay for certain T.V. channels, so there was nothing for them to watch either. This is basically an adult hotel, which will suit me just fine next time I have a vacation out on my own.

Morgan Run is conveniently located less than three miles east of I-5. It is easy to reach from the San Diego direction and located close to several restaurants, shopping centers, and other attractions. There is a bit of hallway noise which filters through the door, and you can hear water running through the pipes in the walls, but overall, it is a nice facility. Two sinks in the bathroom area (one outside the toilet/shower room) is convenient. Check in/check out were both extremely easy with very friendly and helpful desk staff. I didn't play golf, but the course was beautifully maintained.

I read the review of this hotel after booking it online the first time I stayed at this property. I was very hesitant about staying at the resort after reading the reviews. I even called the property to see if I was uncomfortable if I would be able to move my room or get a refund. The staff reassured me I would be accommodated. I arrived at the hotel and was immediately struck by the beauty of the resort. Although this hotel and resort is not near the beach it is located on a beautiful gold course. The rooms are very large and very, very clean. The decor is a little dated in some rooms, but not in all. Even though the decor may dated in some rooms, it is not worn and it is of very high quality. The beds are extremely comfortable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant serves a full menu of delicious food. The price if very affordable. I enjoyed my stay tremendously. We delivered our oldest to UCSD and will be traveling to San Diego quite often and we will continue to choose this lovely resort every time we visit in the coming years.

Morgan Run is part of a country club. There are no high rises around. A mile away from the freeway, but short drive awway to markets and restaurants. If you are visiting friends in the Rancho Santa Fe area, this is great. Two story building walk up. Good size room, two sinks, a coffee maker. A small lanai area out of each room. Breskfast at the restaurant only on the weekends, but Starbucks coffee and pastries can be bought at the front desk. Free internet. It does need some improvements on the air conditioning. We had two rooms, one room the a.c. was noisy, and the other a.c. died on us. The rooms are in good shape and clean. But can be noisy for some.

The hotel very convient to everything. It does need some updating it is very old. They are more interested to their club members then their hotel guests.

I golf, my wife plays tennis and overindulges in the spa. We did not know Morgan Run existed until a business meeting. The conference and meeting facilities were outstanding and more surprisingly it turned out to be the best business trip turned pleasure vacation we have ever experienced without planning it. The 27 hole golf course is unparalleled and the rooms are even very nice and very inexpensive for the value. It seems to be the best secret in town.

Very nice hotel on a country club. Beautiful golf course. Dining room a bit pricey with a dress code.

A wonderful surprise was the dining room-we had a birthday and inquired about good dining nearby and the Morgan Run was recommended (surprise!) and my husband, tired from driving, had already made up his mind. The dining room was WONDERFUL and they were having prime rib on special for 19.95. Everything really was first-class and we were very happy to have tried it. Everything at Morgan Run was exceptional. We would definitely go back.

Overall a very nice place, the hotel was located in a quiet neighborhood. Our room was large and had a very nice comfortable bed. Surrounding area is very picturesque would stay there again. They are adding a spa with a pool which was not complete at the time of our stay.

This hotel was a distance from the San Diego Convention that I attended and was a last minute option as most of the in town facilities were booked. Other than the freeway congestion that I coped with.. the experience was a pleasant one.

the hotels rooms where clean.,the maid service was the best and friendliest people at the resort.when i went to thre front desk i was disappointed in the staff .i felt like i was a bother for asking questions, about services and ther is not a swimming pool.the rest was okay.

We found the room to be of satisfactory dimensions and amenities. What bothered us most was it's 'Musty' smell and some mold in the shower stall. Very nice location...the rooms just need some updating.

Hotel staffs were very friendly, room was vary clean and nicely decorated. I was impressed with the larger then expected room and bathroom. The hotel was closely located to couple of shopping malls. I grealty recommend this room if you do not want to take your children, because they do not have a pool or other facilities sutiable for kids. Overall, next time when I want to go to a restful plact, I will chose this hotel since it is very reasonable and comfortable.
