The hotel is beautiful and greatly located, however we had a very bad experience there. Our cell phone dissapeared from our room, and noone wanted to be responsible, we were left to pay it by ourselves. They claimed that the staff is very trustfull and that they didn't see the cell phone and they are not responsible for "anything" left in the room even while you are still using it.....I don't think this should be the treatment that a hotel of this category should give.. as if we were lying about our missing phone...!!!

Excellent service and friendliness. No swimming pool. Great place to stay.Everything was perfect.

Hotel Morales was a lovely, historical hotel. Great attention paid to details in architecture, furnishings, cleanliness and service overall. The food in the hotel restaurant was delicious, especially the breakfast brunch which had a wonderful variety of both Mexican and Western fare. It was right in the heart of the historical centre of Guadalajara. We would definitely recommend it and would certainly stay there again.

My wife and I had only one night as we were flying out in the morning but the hotel exceeded our expectations. The hotel has a look of the best old elegant hotels and a staff that was equally attentive. Beautiful architecture and very well maintained. Our room had a full wall closet with room for extended stays. There was a small sitting room and a beautiful bathroom. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was very good and reasonably priced. The location was perfect for our short stay as it is directly across from the main city plaza and old historic churches and other interesting buildings and sights. Many stores and restaurants are in the area. Perfect for walking and seeing may sights in a short amount of time. For those who know Los Angeles, the Morales compares very favorably with the Biltmore Hotel in downtown L.A. We look forward to a return visit.

Picked this hotel off previous reviews. Most reviews nailed it. This is a really picturesque hotel, very elegant and centrally located. The staff was friendly and helpful, although my needs are really simple. Got some good tips on dining, but they really aren't up to speed on nicer places nearby. If you like quaint hotels this is a good bet.

The hotel is beautiful and staff friendly & helpful. The downtown location would have been perfect except there was major constructions going on everywhere.

This is a beautiful hotel that is perfect if you are going to spend time in the Downtown Guadalajara area. The hotel room was very clean and furnishings appeared new. The lobby and interior of the hotel were also very clean with nice furnishings. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. There was also a bar with live entertainment on most nights. It was a very pleasant place to spend time after sight-seeing all day. The only bad thing I would have to say about this hotel is that it was pretty noisy. If you are looking for a quiet place, this is not it. You can hear quite a bit of traffic noise from the street and the live entertainment could be heard through the walls until 10 pm.

We had a great stay at this Hotel. We went to Guadaljara for a wedding and the Hotel's location was center of all our weekend activities. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

The location and appearance of the hotel was outstanding. You are blocks away from major downtown attractions. The rooms are soundproof and romantic. I noticed that my coffee cup had not been cleaned properly from the night before, although it was my own lipstick.

This is a solid three and a half star property. Staff is excellent. They spoke fluent English and seemed supportive of less than fluent Spanish. Dining room faire is very good for breakfast but not good for supper. Location has its pluses and minuses. This part of the city is congested but near to places to see and do, There is a convenience/pantry store 1/2 block away and another one 2 blocks away, Roof-top patio is nice. Free internet off the lobby is a big plus as well as good wifi signal in the lobby area.

GREAT locacation. Staff were very friendly and helpful. While I speak Spanish, there was always an English speaking staff member available. Easy walk or inexpensive cab ride to where ever I needed to go. Room was modern, clean, comfortable, quiet. GREAT value for the price. Would stay again, and highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for a week with my sister and parents so we had three rooms. I booked myself in a Jr. Suite. Aside from a second TV, it offered nothing more than the other two standard rooms that my family stayed in. It was poorly appointed and a waste of the extra US30.00 +. a night that I paid. The management handled my discontent very poorly..even suggested we leave the hotel and go somewhere else. Offered me a 10.00 discount per night. I am a well seasoned traveler and I wouldn't return to this hotel again due to the poor response to my disatisfaction. On a positive note, this hotel was very clean and the towels were luscious (although scarce). The beds were rock hard!

Great Room! Spacious and fabulous air conditioning. The location is near the historical center of the city. Because our room faced the very busy street, we did experience noisiness especially weekend nights. But otherwise, we had a wonderful time! The fitness center consists of three outdated machines, you are better off walking around the city for exercise.

I really enjoyed the overall presence & architecture of the historic building. The only thing I didn't like was that it didn't have a pool. This was an awesome hotel & friendly staff. I did not have any problems with check in/out. I would recommend & I would definitely stay here again!

We had a great experience. Except for one staff member overall the staff offers great customer service. Mario Great Job! Perla needs a little more training in customer service she rolled her eyes at us more than once. Other than that i would recomend your hotel to other travelers.

We went to great restaurants including the one in the hotel. The bar was very convenient and it was good to come home to a cold beer after being in the hot Mexican sun. We were also able to make tour arrangements through the hotel.

Beautiful andcolonial style rooms. So clean! It was a bit old in the lobby. This hotel is so nice, so clean, and so beautiful. Beautiful water fixtures throughout the hotel. Calming plants everywhere.

We got to the Hotel and our room wasn't ready. Front desk staff was rude, we spoke to them in english and they seem to care less and were not helpful to us. The times we call the front dest for different items, not once did we receive anything. For ice we had to go across the streett o buy ice because we never got it from the staff at the hotel or restaurant. front desk staff twice made fun at us and we brougth it to the attendtion of the hotel manager per written letter and never got a call from him. We felt real bad at this hotel. We will never go to this location again and we do travel to Guadalajara once a year.
