My family and I have been twice and plan to go every year. The place is awesome and the service is great. My 5 year old daughter would rather go to Moon Place than back to Disney World.

The hotel itself was amazing. The food was great and i couldnt have asked for a more attentive and friendly staff. The only problems we ran inot were due to the lack of people staying at the hotel. Due to this, the hotel cut back on a lot of things such as shuttles and the trips in the all inclusive which was very disappointing. They only had 3 sshuttles all day going to the other hotels that once filled, you were out of luck. Other than that this hotel is wonderful, clean and a great time. Just watch out for the occasional snob since it is a nicer hotel.

Nice location with walkable beach. Average food quality, showed signs of age. Moon Palace was in a convenient location while feeling away from the hotel zone. It sat on a nice walkable beach and the grounds were exceedingly large. All aspects of the staff was friendly. It was in good shape but is showing signs of aging (paint chipping, pool wear, grout failing). Food was not anything above average all-inclusive. A nice resort but there are others that impress us more.

We just came back from this resort and loved it, the rooms and resort were very clean, there were people cleaning 24/7 . everything was included , we did leave tips ones and twos they seemed to really appreciate that and the people were extremely nice and always smiling. the pool was huge. The property is gigantic, takes about 15 mins to walk from one resort to the next. There are two sections Sunrise and Nziuc. Sunrise is alittle bigger and has alittle more to do there. The spa is separate from resort you have to take a shuttle there but only takes about 10 mins. Well worth it though. My daughter brought her friend and they had a blast, we spent most of the days in the pool. The food was very good for all inclusive, weve stayed at beaches before and we felt that the food at moon palace was so much better, and fresher. we would definately stay at this property again, our only regret was not doing any of the exursions or shopping. next time snorkeling is on our list of things to do.

We were there for a wedding. The service was excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was bland and the breakfast and lunch buffets were lacking. Many of the nicer restaurants were closed until dinner leaving only buffets in same places each day for lunch and breakfast. The rooms were beautiful and it really paid off to spend the little extra money for ocean view. The Moon Grand had by far the best food and the facilities were so much more upscale.

I just got back from my second week-vacation at Moon Palace Sunrise and I loved everything about it and wish I was still there. All of the staff is extremely friendly and willing to help you all the time. The food is great and there are tons of places to eat. My personal favorite would have to be the Italian restaurant on the golf course and La Gondola (in the lobby, definitely the best for breakfast and Italian buffet at night.) As for tours, I would strongly recommend anyone going here to go to Holkan Kingdom, the adventure park across the street from Moon Palace. It was my favorite part of the vacation. The zipline was incredible and the ATV's and the Shotover Jet were just as fun. It was by far my favorite day all week and I would've done it every day if I could've. If you want to do horseback riding, do it at Loma Bonita - I've done that tour three times and it's my favorite riding place out of all the vacations I've been on (I ride and own horses at home so I find a place to go horseback riding every vacation, wherever we go.) Wet n' Wild is a good day trip, the dolphin swim is the best part so definitely try to do that. The pool is one of the largest in Cancun and is never too crowded because of it's size. The rooms are nice and anything you need only requires a call with the press of one button on your phone. The worst part of this trip was leaving - just the fact that I didn't want to leave! I hated coming home and I wish I could've stayed. I hope to stay at Sunrise again in the future!

The hotel was very nice along with the spa and pools; service staff very accommodating. The hotel is far from town which is an expensive cab ride ($28/each way or $56 round trip). The food in all buffets and a la carte restaurants was absolutely horrible; very disappointing. The food was bland, cold, old, poor quality and the same day to day. We would've returned; however, b/c of the food, we will not. We also felt very pressured to book extra tours with Olympus and the hotel staff.

This is a great resort with very friendly staff and plenty of space. Brazilian best place to eat. Only negative was the beach. The beach itself is great but the water is not fit for swimming. If you like being in the ocean this is not the resort you want to visit. Seven mile beach in Jamaica is where you should go. Over all we had a great time and a great vacation. If you decide on Moon Palace be sure to visit the other Palace resorts. Sun Palace has a fantastic beach and great waves.

Love it love it. We were there for 4 days, want to go back now! We just got home about 2 hours ago so I have the scoop! You need very good walking shoes, sounds silly but the place is HUGE! So to get from 1 side to the next takes a good 15 min+. The people are wonderful, please be good to them, take alot of singles and leave some 2 dollar tips. They have a Speed Boat expidetion, * bucks per person, takes you out to the reef and you drive your own 2-3 person speed bot and then snorkle, it was great! You will love the place, people, and food is abundant, its ok to good, not great, but good, hamburgers by the pool are the best. Steak place called Barracuda, not really that great, Mexican Resturant good, and I dont like that kind of food. Hope this helps, and feel free to take me with you!!!

when i arrived at the hotel the staff was very friendly and they offered me a discount since i had booked the wrong room type, which was not specified by orbitz on the main screen, but that's beside the point. the employee reduced the price, but told me "you can help me, and i will help you," meaning that he was going to reduce the price only if i gave him a good tip, which i did. the employee then reduced the price with the front desk supervisor approval and so i was on my way or so i thought. well, precisely when we were waiting for the shuttle to take us to the other lobby to enjoy the show on my brother's wedding day, the employee approached me and said that "our plan" did not work and that i would have to pay the extra money that he discounted on my hotel room, but never offered to give me back my very generous tip! after that the night grew very long and we all ended up missing the show for the night and the employee ruined my brother's wedding day! we ended up talking to the lobby manager and it seems that everything was taken care of after going through about 4 people to get some kind of help. in conclusion, i believe if this truly is a 4 star hotel they should not employ dishonest crooked people to work for them, which they do, and this made me not want to ever go to the moon palace ever again!!

Hotel rooms very clean and comfortable. Best service I have ever experienced compared to Bahamas, Jamacia, Costa Rica, Margrita Island. Food good, Drinks good. Beach has some sea grass that washes up, but no real problem, we enjoyed the ocean. We went with our daughters 8 & 10, they had a blast and were treated great by the staff. Well worth the money. We rented a car, big waste of money, hotel has tours everywhere and they are INCLUDED.

the service at moon palace was exceptional. each staff member made it seem that it really was "their pleasure" to help and serve the guests. they were incredibly nice and very trustworthy. we accidentally let all of our cash out on a table one afternoon and upon returning after maid service found every dollar still there. food was fine at the buffets, but the a la carte dinners were better. drinks were very good and were flowing throughout the trip. rooms were spacious, very clean and well maintained. the spa was wonderful and really state of the art with the hydrotherapy section. the villas on the golf course were very private and had golf carts available to guests which made navigating the huge grounds very easy. and the variety of free trips and tours were more than we had expected. we are definitely going back, many more times!!!

great resort other than instead of a true concierge service...you a get a time share salesman. All other services and staff were great. Food very good. Try the caribean restaraunt as it seemed the best to us.

Traveled to Moon Palace Golf and Spa between January 21st and 26th. Stayed in one of the Golf Villas and loved the fact that it was off by itself. Some may want to be closer to the beach however with a golf cart included with the suite it was easy to get around. In fact our friends stayed in Nizuc and were jealous of the cart that we had. The resort was not very busy and was only around 30 to 40% occupied. Staff was excellent. Food was pretty good for an all inclusive. Liquor consisted of a lot of top shelf. Like I said earlier, not busy, so no wait anywhere. Room was very clean and the mattress very comfortable. Room always stocked with beer, soda, water. Pools were kind of cold because of the time of the year. The beach had the sea weed that everyone complains about but it was no big deal for me as we did not swim in the ocean anyway. No doubt that the beach is much nicer along the main row of hotels to the North. Took one of the included tours of Chichen Itza which was okay for being free. Spent a lot of the time in the Moon Grand side of the resort which is the newest addition and found it to be the nicest and surprisingly found the least amount of people there. Only complaint was the resort tour (timeshare pitch) that they always were trying to get you to go on. Our friends had several calls to their rooms during their stay trying to get them to attend. All in all a great all inclusive resort.

we left for moon palace on Dec 11 08. I wanted everything to go well because I had given this to my daughter Elise for her 30th Birthday. Arriving at the airport know what color your taxi for the Palace will be.The hotel is only 10 min away. The Hotel was decorated for x-mas and looked so beautiful on our arrival. The check in was easy. We requested a change to the Sunrise section of the hotel and because there was a room available they honered the change. The room was beautiful with a small deck and hammock facing the inside beautiful courtyard and view of the ocean. There are paths runnig throughout the hotel area and everything is ia short distance. The weather was 70's and cloudy with breakthrough sun. We spent time at the tiki huts sipping drinks and talking to other vacationers the pool is amazing. There are pleanty of places to sit and relax. The food everyday was very fresh and so many choices we could not try everything. I have a sensitive stomach but had no problems with the food. We went to shows every night. During some of the shows they have booths set up to buy jewelry. My daughter bought a cowboy hat that looked beautiful with her bathing suit. Be prepared to love the items selling. One night we went to the golf course area and ate at a beautiful Italian rest. Again food was amazing. There are bikes you can take for the day and buses to go on any excursion out of the palace. Tip the drivers. You can even visit any of the moon palace hotels and facilities for free. We bought spa packages for our last day. The staff were the nicest people I have ever been waited on.
