The lobby was just amazing. Nothing comes to mind. Moody Gardens Hotel was very beautiful and comfortable to stay in. I am planning further visits to Galvesston Island and will plan to stay here again. The hotel environment and staff have influenced me to come stay at this hotel even for a weekend getaway.

From the moment I got there, I was treated like Royality and so was my child. The valet attendent didn't need to be called upon, he was waiting on me., The color and design of the comforters could use some updating. Overall I had a great time at this hotel and look forward to going back again.

Looked very nice. Toilet would not flush, no fridge andno hot water. This hotel was not what I expected at 9:30 at night someone just walked in our room (staff) no hot water toilet would not flush and the drain was slow.

The best hotel in awful Galveston! The hotel staff were a little air headed.. To me Galveston is a god-awful place, but staying at this hotel was like not even being in Galveston! I wish I had more time to explore the different things they had near the hotel, such as the aquarium and gardens..

Cruise ship transfers. Wait for cruise ship transfers. The rooms were very spacious and beautiful. The room was far larger than what we expected. I will only stay at moody gardens from now on when in Galveston. Excellent hotel!

Very positive people living and working in a bad situation - IKE. Not sure I can say anything I did not like. They will be the corner stone to the re-building of the area since the hurricane. Great service and great positive people.

The pool was gorgeous and the room wasof great size. We had no wash clothes and the tub would not hold water to bath in. The hotel grounds were gorgeous now even after the hurricane. I can only imagine what it looked like before and what it will look like in a few months. Great place for a family to go, there were so many activities within walking distance. The staff was very nice. I just felt like I should have a wash cloth in a nice establishment like able to take a bath and relax when I would like. I just assumed the drainage issue was from the hurricane.

The resort pools and other activities for kids. Rooms could be updated. The hotel is nice and clean. The rooms are comfortable but could use an update. The grounds and activities available for families are wonderful. The hotel's facility is great for young kids!

The pool was awesome! Wish there would have been a balcony. The staff was very friendly and the room was great. My children loved the large swimming pool. We will definitely stay here. May be longer next time!

The food at Sheen's restaurant was expensive, but good. The facility showed signs of deferred maintenance since the last time I visited. If you are expecting a four star hotel, please don't consider Moody Gardens. It is perhaps three stars at most. The property needs to be updated, painted, remodeled and cleaned. It has not been improved since it opened 10 years ago and the wear is apparent. The waterpark next door was loud and annoying and obscured the view from our hotel room, which cost more than it should have. Moody Gardens is not a good value.

Hotel is in tropical settings, great kid's activities. Food at their only restaurant. It's like eating cafeteria food for a five star restaurant prices. Hotel food was way over priced and so bad the second day we left to eat in town. Hotel itself is great for kids, heated swimming pool and activities for them. Staff is under trained for a four star hotel.

Overall experience was perfect. We have been married 22 years and this was the best stay we ever had. Not much. Discounts would be nice. The area was a great place for what we wanted. The hotel was great for taking some time off between attractions. Terrace restaurant was an excellent place for any meal. Excellent wait staff.

Multiple activities all within walking distance. The nicer restaurant was closed both days (so we drove to find one). We wanted a nicer restaurant for Christmas Eve. But the only nice restaurant, Shearns, in the hotel was closed two days in a row. We drove to the other side of Galveston instead to find one similar.
