We arrived after 2PM so there was envelope at the office with instructions for the room. The room was clean and cool[90°out/79°in the room] as they had turned on the A/C. We had 4-burner electric stove, µWave, toaster, pots & pans, dish & silver-ware plus a good size fridge and plenty of hot water, even a BBQ grill. Extra sheets and 4 towels for our 3-day stay. We were so busy at the beach, snorkeling the reef offshore, visiting friends we never did get to meet the office staff. Only con was I could not connect to Wi-Fi getting out of range error. A **** bargain for the $'s/nite.

Great little place on Hollywood beach, Super fast internet, I wanted to stay longer.

This place is a nicely located getaway. Just few steps away from the beach for some fun in the sun. And an awesome pool for the kids. Centrally located close to all major highways, grocery stores, restaurants, nightlife, etc. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

No one was working in the office when I arrived. There were "key lock boxes" on a lot of the doors. There was a sign in the window of the office with a couple phone numbers; I called both & got voice mails on each. Pretty soon some young man wheeled up on a bicycle & got me into my room. While there was a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, glasses, dishes, & flatware in the room, there was nothing in the entire neighborhood to shop for groceries. There was only one restaurant/bar in the vicinity; called Jimbo's Sandbar. Good food!!; nalthough there wasn't anything else around so that might have had something to do with it.

It is a good option if you need to be close to the beach and the airport and do not care about luxury. The hotel is quite simple. A couple extra power outlets would help. I also did not like window air conditioning units but if you like it them it shouldn't be much of a problem. The hotel is also a bit isolated so it is better if you have a car.

Not your typical motel, but we liked it. Nothing fancy that is for sure. I guess it was off season when we were there as the key was waiting for us outside the office and it took awhile to find anyone in the office to return the key the next day. The room seemed clean and nice to us, but again nothing fancy. Had a refrigerator and microwave. It was close to the beach, just a block away on a quiet street, and a nice area to take walks. Very quiet and relaxing area to stay. Very little in the way of businesses in the area but enjoyed the grill nearby overlooking the river, with live music for dinner. We just stayed one night before spending a week on a cruise ship. We would do it again.

I booked this hotel because of the reasonable price and location. My husband and I wanted to make our visit with his father a little vacation for us on a budget. The hotel is old but the room was clean. TV, refrigerator and some glassware, utensils and dishes were in the room. There was only one bath towel and hand towel in the room but we had no trouble getting extras from the staff. No iron but we brought our own as well as washcloths based on other reviewer's suggestions. The beach is only a very short walk away, the pool looks nice though we didn't use it. I had hoped for better wireless access - it was an intermittent problem but the staff was helpful in telling me the best place to sit in order to get online. We would definitely stay there again in fact plan to this summer when we go back for a visit.

My wife and I were too early for check-in so we dropped off our bags in the office and walked down the beach that is just steps from the hotel. The Dania Beach Bar & Grill was very accommodating and allowed us to hang out there before they opened for business. When we returned to the hotel, the attendant/tenant (who was very nice) had taken our bags to our room and left an envelope with our name next to the office with our room number and a map. The room was left unlocked and our bags were sitting in the corner of the room with the key, which I suppose gives you an idea of how nice and safe the neighborhood is... I guess. The pool looked clean and the grounds were decent, but those are the only positives I can think of in regards to the hotel. The room was sad. A queen-sized bed and a futon with a slip cover that was at least 30 years old were arranged in the front room. The bathroom was functional, but clearly had mold issues covered by a coat of paint that seemed to be peeling off the wall. Overall, I was excited about a 3 star (Orbitz rated) hotel for $75, but was disappointed that I wasn't aware they were rating on a 10 star scale. I agree with the earlier reviewer that this place needs to be removed from the Orbitz list or the rating needs to be updated.

Unbelievable bad experience. Our name was on an envelop left in a mailbox along with a room number and a key. Only two bath towels were provided, one of which had a black, grease-like stain on it. The bottom sheet had two approx. 2 inch in diameter stains directly in the sleeping area. We were forced to sleep on top of the bed. Two phone numbers were answered by an answering machine. No one returned the calls. The phone book provided (yellow pages)did not have the hotel listed. Upon returning from our cruise on 3/8, the office was closed. When I called the number in the office window, I was told to return after 2PM, which we did. An envelope with our name on it was available in the mailbox containing a key to another room. This room had two apparently clean bath towels and clean sheets, however the hot water control in the shower was broken, and the bathroom sink was very slow to drain. This was the worse hotel experience we had ever had. ORBITZ NEEDS TO INVESTIGATE THIS DEPLORABLE HOTEL. If requested, I have pictures of the stained towel and sheet

Arrived and picked up key at the office door. No attendant. From what I can surmise, the motel is a fifties edifice that is awaiting sale to a high rise condo developer. There is a new one right across the street. The location, 1 block in from the beach is a plus. That they are not investing anything much in keeping the property up is also evident. In the morning the shower knob for the hot water turned out to not be connected to the valve any longer, so no shower. When I went to ask for help the office was closed although hours posted said differently. This facility is way below any Orbitz listed property I have ever stayed in. I like staying at well maintained 50's vintage motels, especially in the Keys. This is not one I will ever visit again. The sooner it is sold and demolished the better.

We arrived (2 couples - 2 rooms) late Friday night and found the rooms as instructed. We were told to come to the office the next morning to check in. Rooms were actually more like old converted apartments or base housing units. They were clean, however. The next morning, we went to the office and no one was there. Later in talking with other folks, who are mostly long-term residents, we were told that there's never anyone in the office on weekends and no housekeeping, either. So we had to make do with our two thin towels for two nights, and no washcloths. We had planned on using the kitchenette to cook breakfast for 2 mornings, but again, it was sparsely furnished. No dishcloths, no soap, no spatula, etc. And there was no one around to ask for supplies. However, the beach was close by and we did have a good time talking with the neighbors and walking to the boardwalk. It was an adventure and gave us something to laugh about on our cruise later, but just be aware that it's not like the pictures! We did feel safe - it's not in too bad of a rundown area.

We were put in an old, old section which needed demolition not habitation. The furniture was broken and filthy. The paint was dirty around light switches. For what we received the cost was outrageous. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!!!

We pulled up to this motel, I told my partner not to get the luggage out of the car, until I looked the place over. The sheets were clean, the room was clean, there were clean miss-matched towels, dishes were dirty. Decorated in a random yard sale style. The bed was lumpy. However, our door was 300 feet from the sand and I've stayed in worse (not much worse). Best thing about it was that it was clean (except for the dishes) and it was close to the beach. Very safe location.

This is a modest hotel steps from the beach. Excellent for relaxing and heading to the beach. Sort of a sleepin cabana more than a true hotel.

A very funky old time motel like you went to with your grandparents in the early 50s. But right by the beach. Very quiet non commercial neighborhood. Had full kitchen but no hairdryer nor outlets in bathroom. Very European feeling. Very suitable for the right people. Good value.

I loved it! The staff is outstanding and what a great location. Can't beat the rate too. This will be my number one place to stay in the Hollywood area from now on.
