Loved the noon checkout time, cafe food wasn't the best and service was a little slow. Little disappointed that buffet wasn't open for lunch

Nothing. Old, not a 3 1/2 star as I thought I was paying for.

We stayed there during the winter season, didn't do any casino activities but spent all our time on the slopes in the nearby world class ski resorts ((Heavenly, Sierra, etc). We were too tired to do anything by the time we got back from snowboarding all day, so just hang out in the hotel. The hotel has nice buffet restaurant, nice indoor pool and jacuzzi, and night clubs. We didn't have to go anywhere, got dinner, relaxed by the pool and back on the slope again the following day!! The room had upgraded beds, large bathroom. It was spacious and very comfortable.

We decided to get married in Lake Tahoe, and we booked a room at the MontBleu for our honeymoon. We read some really awful reviews online about the hotel, so I was nervous about what to expect. However, we had a GREAT experience! Check-in was very quick and easy, and the rooms were extremely clean. Everytime we returned from a day out, our room had been thoroughly cleaned. I felt very safe in this hotel. The casino was a lot of fun, the food was wonderful (great atmosphere at the Del Sol), and there were great little shops in the hotel, as well as a spa and pool/hot tub. The only concern I had during our stay was the fact that the walls are paper thin, and you can hear everything going on in the next room. However, I only noticed this when I was staying with my family the night before the wedding. My husband and I stayed on the 17th floor for our honeymoon, and it was extremely quiet and secluded. We had a lot of privacy. I would request this floor if you are planning a romantic getaway. The jacuzzi tub in the room is WONDERFUL! It's very spacious - plenty of room for two. We would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Lake Tahoe. We had a wonderful time!

vERY NICE ROOMS..I RESERVED A DELUX ROOM AND WAS PLESANTLY SURPRISED AT HOW NICE THE ROOM WAS. I WAS ATTEMPTING TO EXIT MY ROOM AND THE DOOR WOULDN'T OPEN BECAUSE OF FRESH PAINT ON DOOR JAM. NEEDLESS TO SAY I WAS NOT HAPPY. THE STAFF WERE MORE THAN ACCOMADATING BY UPGRADING MY ROOM TO A VERY CLEAN AND LUXURIOUS MINI SUITE W/ A JACUZZI BATH LARGE ENOUGH FOR FOUR, SURROUNDED BY MARBLE..DOUBLE VANITY..DOWN COMFORTERS..THE TRIP WAS UPSLOPE FROM THERE. THANKS AGAIN TO THE WONDERFUL STAFF. AS A MATTER OF FACT I AM BRINGING MOM FOR HER B-DAY AND THE AVEDA SPA.

I would say everything was perfect for a great low price. All amenities were great, the staff was great, the casino was great. The room and bed was amazing with a nice view. My only concerns were that there weren't many optiosn for cheap quick food in or near the hotel. The starbucks that was there had some breakfast items that were SOOOOOO overpriced. 2.50 for a yogurt! Also, the bathroom was very nice but upon close inspection you notice that the marble everywhere hides some of the dirtyness. The grout on the floor was dark brown when it was white near the edges of the walls, and the marble hid hair and fuzz in the corner that was not ours, as well as blobs of gunk (shampoo? lotion? gel?, who knows) all over. There was also a 'surprise' extra fee on top of the fee I paid online which was a turn off. Overall it was very very nice and relaxing. I would stay there again, but continue to expect to pay a bit more than the online price.

We enjoyed the trip very much but paid double everyone else! Very annoying considering! Would suggest the MS Dixie II cruise very fun, informative and views are incredible. The Casino was one of the better of the 4. Food was very good at the hotel and priced reasonably. Breakfast was a very good deal!

Staff was friendly, accommodating and accommodations were comfortable with one exception. Cigarette smoke and second hand contamination of linens, bedding, etc, was very uncomfortable. I would recommend the hotel if they could find a way to make their non smoking rooms truly smoke free. The contamination of bedding and linens made the room very uncomfortable.

Hotel is OK for under 100 bucks per night for a deluxe room. Pros: Rooms offer lots of space and have a nice bath tub. Cons: The time you walk in you notice that this hotel goes back to the 80`s. I didn`t stand bare foot on the carpet. Needs remodeling. While in your room you can hear people on the hallway and while walking on the hallway you cna hear people talking in their rooms. Not a good place to take your girlfriend/wife - never to be considered for honeymoon. Overall service is not good compared to other hotels.

I've stayed at the Montbleu before but this time they charged a "resort fee" which covered a host of misclaneous stuff like newspaper, valet parking, use of pool, fitness center, etc. This was not included with the room rate provided by the travel website and was not an optional charge when I checked in. So as far as I'm concerned, it's just a way for Montbleu to look cheaper online while still charging their guests more money when you get there. I asked specifically to have the charge removed and that I was not interested in any of the things covered by the fee, and they would not. They said they charge all guests this fee. Also, I called the travel agency and they could not get it removed either. In fact I found out that the travel agency knows about these fees and do not communicate it to the customer when booking.

After reserving (8 weeks in advance) wedding day appointments at their spa for hair, makeup and nails, I called to confirm only to discover that they had booked makeup, pedicure, and nail appointments ONLY. The hair person was now booked because it was a busy weekend and "they were booked 2 weeks ago". No kidding, that's why I booked 2 MONTHS BEFORE. They basically called me a liar saying I never asked for hair appointments and did absolutely nothing to try and fix the problem. Even the manager refused to help me, saying their reservations were NEVER wrong and I must be mistaken. Considering I booked for MY OWN WEDDING and there were four people in the room to confirm what I said, these people were totally incompetent and could not figure out what they were doing. At 100+ per hair appointment, you'd think they could handle reservations 2 months in advance.

From front desk service to housekeeping are just exceptionally great. I have stayed herebefore but I never really got a chance to do a review on them until my last visit this April.Bed is great, a comfy and relaxing room. Clean and very open space room. I will stay here again when I go back to Tahoe this summer. A little pricy on weekends but it's worth it. Weekdays are your best bet if you are looking forgreat hotel with affordable prices.

Good room, great comfortable beds, great bathroom (lots of room and great shower). Internet access but we weren't aware that we'd have to pay for it ($12 per night).

Location. Everything was closed and the hotel was not maintained. Our experience was not a good one. The rooms were not maintained. The bath tubs were dingy, chipped and rough to the touch. The whole building reeked of cigarette smoke. After asking for different rooms the hotel told us that they had no other rooms. Which is funny because on Saturday night we counted 24 people in the whole casino.

When I arrived at the hotel I asked the front desk if they did anything for peoples Birthdays and the lady told me that I did not book this trip directly with the hotel so no they would not do anything special for my Fiance and them I asked if I would have booked directly with the hotel would they have done something special and she said maybe. Also they never tried to offer any comps for anything and other Hotels offered us all kinds of stuff from tickets to comedy shows to free dinner and also gave my fiance birthday favors and even cash. I guess this is why this place is Going Out of Buiseness in a few days.

We were very pleasantly surprised, especially after reading some of the poor reviews. The room was great - very clean and comfortable. The food was terrific in each reastaurant (except for the crab legs at the buffet, which were a little cold) and room service. The casino staff was fun (as they took our money) ;o). The front desk, concierge and Players Club folks were very friendly and helpful. Lake Tahoe is beautiful! We don't ski, but we went on a snowmobile tour (Zephyr Cove) and that was a highlight of the trip - the scenery is awesome at 9000'.We highly recommend Lake Tahoe and Montbleu for a short or long getaway - it's much more relaxing and enjoyable than Vegas!
