What a great place. The 2 rooms we had were wonderful. The very large courtyard was in full bloom with the most amazing flowers. The attention of the staff of every aspect of the property and to each guest was outstanding. We were there 8 nights and wished we were there longer. Everyone there wanted to make sure our vacation was the best it could be. Pierre the bartender and worked the breakfast room was very friendly and helpful as was everyone we came into contact with. You would never know you were in the middle of Florence when you walked through the doors of the Mona Lisa. It was like being in a country villa in Tuscany. My thanks and high praise goes out to everyone at the Mona Lisa Florence

All the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was nice, comfortable and roomy. The feel and ambiance of the hotel was great. Loved sitting outside in the garden to eat breakfast.Only one drawback-because its off the beaten path, had to call for taxi each time one was needed. It was walking distance to several points of interest.

Location and garden. Difficult to get to room and heating system not controllable. Adequate three star hotel definitely not four. Interesting configuration as it was probably formerly a villa. Great location.

In all our stays throughout Europe, we have never encountered a more beautiful place to stay. If you are looking for the heart and soul of Florence, you must stay at The Monna Lisa Hotel. The aesthetic of this historical space, complete with it's amazingly beautiful garden and sitting rooms, is simply breathtaking. Our room, which looked out onto the garden exceeded our expectations in decor, cleanliness, and ambience. With regard to the service we received; it was exceptional. The manager was always available to us and people working at the front desk always took time to thoughtfully answer our questions. There was an intensely personal touch which we greatly appreciated: a card game with the staff,a conversation with our porter regarding world politics, special attention to our room. Indeed, many nights we would come in late and find our beds turned down waiting for us. We were also offered special attention each morning during our scrumptiously fresh breakfast. Finally, regarding location: We were truly happy with our proximity to everything we wanted to experience. We were never more than a 15 minute walk away from museums, shopping, and entertainment. In conclusion: If you are looking for the best hotel you will ever experience, this is it. Enjoy the Monna Lisa. You will find us there in spirit.

We loved our stay at the Monna Lisa! The staff was wonderful and the hotel a mini-museum as well, which was very charming! Just a short walk to the Duomo as well as many other sites in Florence if you dont mind a 15 minute walk. We stayed 3 nights and were able to get around to all the major sites: Duomo, Uffizi, Piti, etc via foot. Staff also gave great dinner recommendations and called for museum reservations for us. We traveled in early May, so not very warm, but we did note no AC in the rooms. This would have been an issue for us if we traveled in the summer since there werent screens on the windows and the mosquitos can get you at night! Also of note: great morning breakfast in a beautiful dining room.

Very small room for the price. This is the second highest priced hotel that I stayed in out of 6 hotels in Florence. It was the worst value for the money. I would not put it up there with other 4 star hotels. Common spaces were nice but room was very small for the price. Would not recommend to anyone.

Oh it was so lovely to arrive in this quirky little hotel with so much character!!! There was some work being carried out on the road outside the hotel but it didn't spoil our stay. The dining room is full of various versions of the Mona Lisa which we thought was great! The rooms are cute and fit in with the theme of the hotel but don't expect luxury. Staff were really friendly and Florence is just so amazing! We thought it was great value, great location and it really was part of our Florence experience.
