The hotel was a good value for the price I paid. The front desk was efficient and friendly. I thought this hotel offered more then most of the chain hotels in the area.

Bed were very comfortable; excellent decor and grounds. No hot water bothAM and PM. Of course we received the usual apologies for the engineering problem. Beautiful decor and grounds make this place a delightful hotel to stay at if they can fix the lack of hot water throughout the hotel. Beds were amazingly comfortable.

I found the front desk to be very friendly and helpful. I got to the room and noticed it clean and tidy. You should be happy with the hotel WIFI. The bed was nothing to write home about. My only complaint was the light that stayed on all night just outside my window. The hotel is close to many restraints and other amenities.

The sign next to the Chevron gas station could be a little bigger or the plants could have been trimmed well. We came on an overcast weekend, so we missed the sign on our 1st day. We liked the 50's/60's feel of the outside of the hotel; but we didn't expect a modern bathroom (very pleasing) & great t.v. screen!! I personally liked the bright colors when walking into the room. We used the pool a lot! THe convenient late hrs of pool usage was long enough (up to 10pm!); We walked to the nearby shops to buy late night snacks & we weren't bothered by a lot of traffic/wasn't too noisy considering the inn was by 2 main streets. This was the first time we brought our dog & he LOVED it...all the wonderful accessible walking (w/o having LOOSE dogs wandering freely)& the big panoramic window w/a long seating area. My dog & I respected the "No pet-free" zone signs, so we resorted to the nearby dry grassy area; however, I was particular about the loose pine needles & foxtails, that we walked further from the inn (around the gas station)-- we walked more, but still enjoyed! I didn't really care for the bark for part of the garden's landscape(but my dog loved it!) Although there was NO ventilation in the bathroom, we didn't experience ANY bad/foul bathroom smells that we'd normally smell. Love the cute Bath&Body amenitites & how the hairdryer had it's on bag!! The negative experiences were not having a "replaced" bathrobe in one of the rooms for the rest of our stay; our fridges weren't working to their potential;and we had no microwaves to heat up leftovers. The aroma coming from the restaurant were very pleasant, yet we didn't get a chance to taste the B/L/D meals (we were 8ppl, 3 were children, who are picky eaters)& the music during afterhours was enjoyable [I heard the band play while I was walking my dog]!

Convenient location for our needs. Late night parking was a challenge and toilet was loudest I have heard. Don't courtesy flush you're bound to lose something. Clean and comfortable. We kept busy and did not spend a great deal of time in the room. Location does not afford great views but served our needs very well.

In short - we were pleased with the location and it is PET FRIENDLY. Having said that, we were underwhelmed based on the price. A word to the wise, photos may show a canopy over the beds but our room didn't have one. A couple of other cons - if you are staying on the first floor, which are the rooms for pet owners, don't expect a patio. Also, no microwave. We experienced a bathroom nightlight that had a mind of its own during our stay. Also, don't expect any restaurant facilities after the morning. Although, there are restaurants close.

Friendly service, great location, and clean rooms with a retro 60's style. Only issue was the pool was cold and hot tubs were down for maintenance. With two small kids, that's a death sentence. They eventually got the tubs working. Other than that, it was a great experience. I'll be back soon.

Nice place. Not great location. Behind gas station! Planning to go to Carmel and hear the ocean. See the coast. Great deals with Priceline. This hotel was in a business section behind a gas station next to a mall. Not very romantic certainly not my idea of a stay in Carmel.

I found this to be a comfortable place. The furnishings were very nice. (The mattress was nicer than mine.) It was clean. Everything worked. Desk staff was nice. Several nice restaurants in adjoining shopping complexes within walking distance.

Arriving late on a Friday night we were ready for dinner. The hotel cafe had music playing that was not conducive to quiet late dining. Hotel staff warmly directed us to a recommended restaurant across the street and provided us with a certificate for a free starter. The hotel room was attractively decorated and the bed was very comfortable.

Hi,There were multiple trash items on the floor (Before and after they cleaned). Also, we were located by the housekeepers locker area. It was extremly noisy. The carts they push around were VERY loud (Wheels need oiling). So much so I considered buying them a can of WD-40.

Not at all pricy. There are new shops & resturants across the street. The drive to Camel was 10ish mins & to Monterey 20 mins.

Room decor and outdoor patio were great. Large flat screen TV was nice. Cozy and quaint. Staff very freindly and accomodating. Room small but very nicely decorated. Had a large flat screen TV. The outdoor patio area with fire pit and chairs with greenery and decorative outdoor lights was beautiful. We sat out there talking until really late. It was really relaxing.

Fabulous sheets and super comfy bed. Nice bathroom amenities. Looked not that great from the outside like an old motel, not like an inn. What appeared to be an old motel on the outside has been nicely renovated on this inside. Rooms were small but bed was fabulous! Great sheets and comfy mattress. We slept beautifully! We did not use any of the facilities but they appeared fine. Nice bathrooms with a great shower head and nice amenities.

WE go to the Monteray Area every year and this time it was great. Room was as good as the reviews said it was. Service, price, clean, even entertainment was just what we were looking for. Live band on weedend with a nice mellow crowd.

Flowers everywhere, beautifully grown and displayed. Grounds and interior first rate. Friendly staff who are knowledgeable. Room was very clean as was the bath. Good restaurant on premises and close to everything.

My husband and I stayed a night at the Carmel Mission Inn, on a Saturday night. It was a very quiet and secluded location. It was further away from downtown Carmel than we expected, but there are numerous shops and a beautiful shopping complex within a block of walking distance. The room was clean, the bed was surprisingly comfortable and the color scheme reminded me of the Little Mermaid: teal, yellow, fish paintings, etc. It had a tropical feel to the outside as well: the pool is centrally located and has numerous plants and a very neat gas fireplace near the front of the hotel! It was a great place to stay in the Carmel area, although we would have liked to be closer to downtown!

Loved the freshness of the decor, the incredible flowers and foliage! The staff was friendly and very helpful. The restaurant was very comfortable and served delicious food, great coffee! Great linens, bath and bed! Everything was spotless. A very relaxing atmosphere overall.
