The hotel was average! The food threw me off a bit! The salsa (served with every meal) was below average. Watered down. The Filet Mignon did not resemble Filet Mignon at all. Overall the accomodations were not that bad! If I were to go again and not be spending my time at the hotel during the day, it would be fine. Unfortunately my plan was to spend my time at the hotel and this is not the hotel for that. You definitely need to go out and spend little time at the hotel.

Reasonably priced. Bad service, missing articles of clothing. The hotel is located in downtown, but not near the shopping and eating areas that tourists would typically visit.

The lobby is very modern. The rooms, however, need to be remodeled as they are dingy and dirty. The carpet was worn out and dirty. The window panel that served as cover had a large stain on it. The beds were extremelly hard and uncomfortable. The bed spread was old and worn. The bathroom is in very poor condition. The door knob was loose, the caulk around the tub was mildewed. There was no plug for the tub. The bathroom towels were thinned and worn out. My wife's residual hair dye stained a towel. As a result, we received a typed letter stating we would be charged for the damage and given damaged towels for her to use. Upon check-out, we forgot our jackets. After calling an verifying they had been inventoried, we returned to collect them and were one jacke short. (a very expensive jacket). We were told that we were lucky we even received anything by the front desk personnel. Stay somewhere else.

The location was perfect, since we only had to take the bus in front of the hotel to get to downtown. The room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend it.

The Hotel is really old and worn down. Some rooms have been updated, but I've stayed here twice & for some reason the bathroom always smells. The smell seems to be coming from the drains. They now keep the drains covered, but you need to uncover them when you shower and the smells wafts through.. Staff is nice. If you need a place to just sleep and you won't spend much time there, this is the hotel. I would advise that you bring sandals when you shower. I would stay there again just because of the proximity to my local friends. I think * a night is too much as I find it comparable in quality to a Best Western. Staff is friendly and accommodating. If rooms were to be updgraded with new furniture and window coverings - it would be ideal. It seems like a hotel that maybe 20 years ago was grand and the place to stay, but is now broken down and doesn't want to admit it...

MISSION CARLTON GUADALAJARA WAS TERRIBLE. THE STAFF WAS NOT FRIENDLY. The Front desk lost my reservation and made us wait 8 hours before checkin-in. It wasn't until i went to their back office and actually found the reservation myself. Room was dirty with nail clippings on carpet. The water in the swimming pool looked brown. Taxi driver actually warned me about complaints about this hotel, I should have listened to him. Definetly DO NOT stay here!!

The hotel was clean and the people were very helpful. Just had one meal there and it was good. It has a good gym but didn't use it. There was a nice bussiness center too. Well were ther just to do some shopping and the location is in a good place for that.

This hotel was comfortable to stay at if you only plan to sleep there. Very little to do at the hotel itself. Staff (valets)was friendly and informative. Good place for the price. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

Mision Guadalajara was a great disapointment. The matresses were old the sheets were very worn, the pool was cold, and the front desk attendants were very unfriendly. The location was good and the lobby was beautiful but the rooms are very dated the beds are small, we are not very tall people and our feet were sticking out of the bed. The matresses were just HORRIBLE including the bedding and pillows. The air conditioning did not work properly. The rooms are clammy and there is no ventilation.

The only reason why this place is not a total disaster is because they have friendly personnel and a decent restaurant, beyond that the rooms are a total dump. I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

My stay here at this hotel wasn't very pleasant. Other than the bell boys, the staff was a great disappointment. I was issued a room that wasn't ready to be habitated in. There was a hole in the wall for a shower head and the cleanliness of the room wasn't great. The lobby was absolutely beautiful and when I entered my room I was completely shocked that I was in the same hotel. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.

I Highly recommend staying at the Mision Carlton. Our experience at this hotel was absolutely pleasant. The entire staff consist of very professional and very nice people. The rooms are spacious and always maintained very clean. The location of the hotel is perfect- very close to downtown but not that close that you get caught in the craziness of downtown madness. It is walking distance from a huge Walmart. We plan to return in December and we will definetly be staying at the Mision Carlton
