A really welcoming, friendly small hotel of an excellent 3* quality. Desk staff could not be more helpful. Decor is a mixture of old and new. Excellent position for main historic sites. Don't miss a night stroll round the hippodrome to mingle with the locals. Mina Boutique is comfortable and clean. Buffet breakfasts are more than adequate. We did not eat in but roof terrace is breathtaking for a drink. It's a bit pricey but good value for the location

Excellent view and foodFirst thing about the Mina Hotel that would catch the attention of the visitors is its mesmerizing view, overlooking the Hagia Sophia, Sultanamhet Mosque, Bosphorous River, etc., from its terrace restaurant where I would strongly recommend everyone to have a dinner. The food is also excellent - you are generally given a 15% discount coupon. You are also given free internet and computer facility from the lounge - which proved to be helpful. The hotel is quite close - walking distance - to the Sultanahmet square.

Careful of the room charge conversions and overchargingWe booked our hotel in Euros and when it came to paying we were told it was in Lira only so he converted the Euro rate to Lira at a rate he thought it was and not the rate that was shown in the hotel for Euros so a little bit of over charging! The room rates should show in Lira when booked not in Euros if they are going to use this underhanded tactics to get more money out of customers.
