Milton Hill House is a charming Georgian Mansion House set in 22 acres of peaceful parkland. The enchanting Georgian manor house, which has been sympathetically extended over the years, is surrounded by 20 acres of tranquil parkland and is delightful blend of modern comfort and traditional charm. It's perfect as a stopover for experiencing some of the huge variety of attractions close by. After a day exploring, take time out at the health and fitness club with mini gym, swimming pool, whirlpool spa, steam room, sauna. Relaxing, stimulating and incredibly convenient, Milton Hill House is situated just off the A34 and only 20 miles south of Oxford. Easily accessible from the M4 and M40 motorways. All rooms are double-bedded & ensuite. Most are contained within a separate building. Various dining options are available - please check with the venue direct for more information. Additional Information: The credit card charges that apply to all guests who choose to pay by American Express credit card. Therefore from immediate effect the cost will reduce by ?1 to ?2.50.

Location Description:

Car: Exit M4 at Junction 13, the A34 to Oxford. After 9 miles take the A4185 to Wantage. Go straight over the first and second roundabout. Just after the Packhorse Public House take the left turn (shared entrance with Milton Business & Technology Centre). Take the first left turn into the main drive for Milton Hill House Training Centre. Follow this drive all the way to the Main House.Exit M40 at Junction 9, take the A34 to Newbury. Exit the A34 at the A4130 (Milton Interchange) Junction. Take the fourth exit and follow the A4130 for approximately 1 mile through one set of traffic lights. Take the right turn after the Farm Shop (shared entrance with Milton Business & Technology Centre). Take the first left turn into the main drive for Milton Hill House Training Centre. Follow this drive all the way to the Main House.

Front great - accomodation block needs updaingMost of the hotel was great. The location, setting, reception area and facilities were good. However, the accomodation block, around the back of the main part of the hotel was poor. In particular, the lobby was old fashioned, the carpet was filthy, and the lift did not work - and indeed had not worked the previous time I had been there about 6 months previously.Also - they did not do room service, which was poor.

OK but ....Impressive main hotel frontage but accomodation blocks behind it are rather ugly. We stayed in gable cottage behind this. Rooms were OK but poorly cleaned (multiple cobwebs and spiders which we had to sort out) There were two weddings on that day which meant that there was loud music until 1215 am (I think it would have gone on longer as I had to chase reception several times)Overall, they need to let people know about the weddings at time of booking - the size of the hotel and positinoing of the rooms clearly doesn't allow for both a quite nights sleep and an event - so ask them before booking!

Nice HotelThe hotel itself is in a very nice setting, although they would benifit from a landscape gardener to give the place a tidy-up... such a shame that they haven really made the most of the setting... this really could be a first class hotel with fantastic grounds....the room that we stayed in was in a seperate block, from the outside wasnt that inviting, needs to be updated / makeover or made to look a little more complimentary to the main hotel, which looks to have been a large country hose in the past. The rooms however were nice, a little on the small side, but were adaquate for our short stay, this wouldnt deter us from staying here again.

Hotel main block is beautiful, very stylish and posh but they send you for a long ramble through this beauty only to arrive at a shabby 70's concrete dormitory with a broken lift where your room is. The room actually was nice, clean and good value for money once I got inside. Top tip, don't get your bags out of the car when you first arrive, instead, check in and drive to the car park next to the rooms to avoid a long hike.

Milton house stay for the grand prixThe reception booked someone else into our reserved room! we were given the last available room but with a subsequent discount we discovered the following morning, my wife was very upset at the time

Hotel was nice, beautiful grounds and lots of places to walk. Rooms are small but well appointed - good spot for visits to Oxford, Abingdon and Silverstone.Nice quiet atomosphere although the hotel checkout was slow. Breakfast was average, didnt eat in although the menu looked good value and the bar snacks looked very tasty.

Excellent hotelwe had a really lovely time at your hotel, the pool was lovely and warm, jacuzzi not too hot, staff very kind & helpful.the Italian garden is beautiful, as are the grounds and the surrounding area.all in all we had a great time and would recomend this hotel to our friends.

Last Minute booking.Having stayed in several hotels across the country my partner and myself decided to have a relaxing night away from the children. Having arrived at the hotel in the evening we were greeted with friendly and helpful staff. We even had a quick swim before getting to our room! The room we stayed in had no wardrobe and no coffee making facilities, however, very nice coffee was available, on tap whenever you wanted from several machines placed throughout the main building. We have no complaints whatsoever. Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and the morning was spent sitting out over looking splendid country views that seemed to have no end. Relaxed and exceptional value for money. We will be returning for several days next time!

well when i arrived at 6pm i was told the hotel didnt have any running water and hadnt for 2 days.they said i didnt have to stay but having travelled for 2 hours and not being notified of the problem ,i didnt have much choice other than stay.the water eventually resumed the next morning at 7am approx.they did give us a 330ml bottle of water,wasnt sure wether to drink or wash with it.im glad i only paid lateroom price as room wasnt worth the full cost.bit shabby and dusty.

DisappointingVery disappointing. Upon arrival, the hotel looked lovely - beautiful building with a nice parking area and gorgeous grounds. The lady who checked us in was a little brusque and cold, though not rude. Our room was in a building round the back (which we had to drive to from reception) in a block that looked little better than a portacabin. The hallway was full of vacuum cleaners and other cleaning machines, (at 4pm) and we were unsure of whether we'd found the correct entrance - we had. The lift was out of order, though there was a sign explaining why. The room was too dark with insufficient lighting, and too hot. There was no tea or coffee, one of the pillow cases was inside out, the duvet on sideways (which I only realised the next morning after spending the night tangle in the duvet case), the wireless internet wasn't working, and there was no information about the restaurant or other facilities in the room. Upon check-out they automatically added a charge for breakfast onto our bill, despite the fact that we hadn't eaten breakfast or booked a table for it. While checking out, the receptionist (a different one) was rude to the gentleman in front of us, although polite to us. Overall I would say that the room wasn't worth the £50 we paid, let alone the £150 we were told is the normal price.

Brilliant location for a hotel very relaxing and peaceful. The rooms are more than adequate our only complaint would be the housekeeping was not upto much, there was a notice in the bathroom advising you to put any towels you would like changing into the bath and they will be replaced which is what we did but on our return to the room the same towels had been put back. There was no soap & bath/shower gel in the room had to go to reception to request this as no one on reception answered the telephone.
