the lobby and everything outside of the actual room is very nice. the staff was very friendly and helpful.we were put in south tower the rooms are very out dated, the bathroom had no counter space just two shelves.the blankets were nasty... it was just an older room not the one shown in the picture. we asked for an upgrade to the north tower but they were sold out! location was good for baseball and arch, just short walk through park to lacledes landing. we were in room to sleep and get ready so it was allright. if we stay there again it would only be for north tower unless they remodel.

Location and beautiful rooms. Nothing to say - it was an excellent stay. Clean, friendly staff, the rooms are very contemporary motif! The bed and pillows made for a restful night of sleep! The sheets, towels were clean! Everything was in tip top shape!

I was there this past week on business travel. I'll just get right into what went wrong. The rooms are average. Rooms - While they tried to renovate them they are still noticeably dingy. The power outlets in my room did not work, so I had to move the sofa chair to get to the back of the ones that did. Their central air system is either hot or cold (not your choice). There are posted instructions on how to work the thermostat in your room. In the fall or winter they have the heater on, spring and summer they have the AC blowing. In between (like right now where some days it?s one extreme or another) you may want to let them know. They will bring you a portable heater like they did for me. Service - one night I ordered room service at 8:54 pm. I called to check on them at around 9:50, they advised the waiter had already left and should be there shortly. At 10:45 I called the manager to advice if it had not left I didn?t want it any more. He checked on it and advised it was on its way and it would be free of charge. 10 minutes later the restraint calls and says they will be leaving soon. I got my food at about 11:10 (starving I couldn?t turn it down. They advised free of charge and apologized. When I got home I noticed my invoiced was still billed for the food. They ended up charging me anyway. I called them and spoke to several rude people including a manager by the name of X. She advised she had taken off the charge and would e mail me a new invoice just as soon as she had the chance. Nuff said I hope.

We had a party of three, including two Catholic Sisters, one of whom was elderly. Our check-in time was 3 p.m. We finally got our rooms at 8 p.m. We had tickets to the St. Louis Cards game at * each and arrived at the game in the 5th inning. We had made a long trip and the Sisters had to go their room to freshen up prior to attending the game. The explanation at the hotel front desk was simply "we have a convention here this week." Confronting the manager the following morning, his answer was the same. Unbelieveable poor planning of the hotel. The overall attitude of the staff was essentially I will never stay in a Millenium run hotel again.

My fiance and I stayed here saturday after the Mardi Gras parade in Soulard. We stayed in the north tower, which is the one I would reccomend, the south tower isn't as clean or as modern. The north tower rooms are beautiful though. The bed was awesomely comfy and the room was clean. the bathroom and vanity area were very spacious. The hotel and a modern clean feeling to it. The shower head was so amazing! Check-in usually takes a few minutes longer than i would like but they do have and express check-out. They also have package deals with drink and breakfast vouchers. We enjoyed our stay very much! the breakfast was nice but i expected more for the price of the meal and the room. The people at the check-in desk are always nice, but the employees at the restaurants weren't very eager to serve any of the customers, we waited 10 minutes trying to get someones attention to get a drink!

Our room smelled so bad it gave me a headache our first night-not paint fumes. The carpets were so dirty I had to wash my son?s feet before he got in bed every night because they were black. The wall paper was peeling and the carpet was buckling causing us to trip. The hotel does not operate adequate parking for their guests, their lot was full and our friends? cars were broken into and motorcycles stolen at the lot the hotel referred. There were even 3 mini bikes stolen from in front of the lobby. Both pools were green. Their shuttle service is not guaranteed - we were stranded with 11 children plus adults after a parade and after being told we would be picked up again with a simple phone call. We were within the 3 mile rule and they had 3 drivers on premises with no calls on their route until 15 minutes after we made it back to the hotel. Our friends did not get maid service and ours was questionable. At checkout, they tried to charge for parking in their garage when their garage was not used.

service was very slow at all levels. Only one internet port in rooms, no wireless connection in rooms, no frig or microwave. No hot tub in either pool area, indoor pool was cold and difficult to get to. No extra towels at pool area. Registered for a smoking room and was given nonsmoking. Room keys did not always work. Only one vending machine and few choices. Small tub and toilet area. Great view. No free parking. No free breakfast items at all. I have stayed at many hotels that were far cheaper that gave much better ammenities and much better and faster service. Top restraunt food was undercooked. Many TV stations did not work all of the item. They did not follow thru with wake up call. Wait staff seemed to be segregated, this was very distrubing. I do not recommend this hotel due to all of the above. The segragation, service, and the internet issues being the top reasons.

Guess you really do get what you pay for -- sheets were not clean! Arrived late at night and crawled into bed. Woke up a couple of hours later, and realized there were body hairs -- DEFINITELY NOT MINE -- in bed with me. Bathtub had sewer smelling water coming up the drain the next morning and I hadn't even used it yet. I stayed on 6th floor -- how is this possible? I could have done much better. Staff were very friendly but could not make up for the lack of cleanliness and disrepair.

This hotel is not good at all. They have recently renovated the north tower. I was in the South tower (the smaller one). When I called and asked if there was a business center I was told there was not. And there was no way for me to use the internet other than pay for it in my room. Other hotels my co-workers stayed in offered free wifi. There was only 2 accessible outlets in the room one of which was so old it was not functional. The plug would actually fall out of the wall as soon as you let it go. The bathroom was not up to snuff at all. Everything about my room made me feel renovations were necessary. If you are planning to go to the arch or the landing (for food and drinks) during your stay you would do much better to stay in the Hyatt down the street or even the drury inn. For Cardinals games you would be better off staying at the Hilton or really anywhere but here. Overall it was a bad experience in the South Tower. The common areas over toward the North tower are pretty nice, I only with the portion of the hotel where I was staying was as nice as the common areas. Hope this helps.

Accessibility to down town St.Louis. The number of the elevators for the amount of guests were not sufficient. Overall the Millennium hotel is a very nice hotel for travelers.

The pictures/description of this hotel are deceiving. I don't even know where to begin: the parking wasn't comped, so be prepared to spend $18/day; the pool is beyond tiny, and way off in neverland; their "gift shop" was only open a couple hours a day for maybe an hour at a time; there was only 1 vending machine that we could find, which turned out to be by the pool; the rooms weren't very clean (found hairs in the shower that weren't ours); they didn't keep coffee stocked in the room, and on top of that, it only makes 1 cup at a time - needless to say, my husband and I made many trips to Starbucks around the corner; there wasn't even a fitted sheet in the bed - it was a flat sheet that kept coming "untucked" since it wasn't even meant for that purpose in the first place; there's NO continental breakfast, so if you want breakfast, be prepared to pay $13 for an omlet; and last but not least, we ordered room service one night, which wasn't even close to their cut-off time, and they never even showed up!! No call, no knock on the door, no nothing. Although we did order room service one other time while we stayed (stayed for 1 week), and they charge 18% gratuity, 9.2% sales tax AND a $2 delivery fee. It may seem like a lot of "nit-picky" things, but they all add up to one, giant cluster----. We will never stay there, or at any Millenium Hotel for that matter, ever again.

Downtown is not vacationer friendly at all. This hotel is not what they advertise here. All the images are from the new tower, if you book standard, you will get the small older building which shows its age badly. Slow drains, nasty feeling floors, filthy walls. We had to change rooms because the first was horrible, the second was a little bit cleaner, but the afternoon/evening desk staff were less than friendly. You can upgrade to the newer tower- for a charge. The bathrooms are tiny, we asked for one a bit larger as there were 3 of us and were told all of them are the same unless we upgrade to the other tower where we would get a vanity shelf. The restaurant had a nice view, the food was good- of course overpriced as expected- however, went through 3 different dirty bread plates- finally quit sending it back, just set it aside. Public transportation is useful, but you need to do your homework and ask bus drivers their destination before boarding. If you are not renting a car, stay near a metrolink station, which can get you to any bus you may need. Many of the attractions are really neat, but they are so spread out over the area it makes it difficult to get much in over a few days. And stay aware of your surroundings, it's really easy to get lost and in a bad neighborhood. Actually had a man approach me and tell me to go back because I was heading toward trouble, he had been robbed at gunpoint the night before a couple of blocks away. We won't go to St. Louis again.

We used the indoor pool. It was very small, the water was very cold and when we arrived at the pool, the pool area had water standing everywhere, plus there wasn't any dry towels. We were at the pool for approx 1 hour and no one mopped up the water, they did eventually bring dry towels. Our room didn't have a coffee pot or Do No Disturb Sign. The hotel wasn't very well marked and had a hard time finding the pool, and elevators. We had to wait in line for approx. 20 minutes to check into the Hotel at 5:00 P.M. in the afternoon. The windows in our hotel room were dirty both inside and out. The room itself was clean; however, we were in a non-smoking room but you could definitely smell smoke. Someone had been smoking very recently in the room. We also found hair in our food at dinner and again at breakfast. They replaced the food but didn't offer any discount, etc.

Location, restaurants. Slow maid service. The hotel was great! The front desk person wasn't very friendly at check in and the maid service was slow and inconsistent from day to day. Overall, a great hotel.

I was at this hotel for a conference. I must say the meeting rooms were good, and easily accesible. The good stuff ends there. The room was nowhere near worth what I paid to stay there. The floors were in desperate need of cleaning, and there were actually some mold spots in the shower. I stayed in the North Tower, a friend of mine stayed in the South. The elevators in the North tower were very slow, and the stairs were poorly lit and very scary looking. The South tower was like a concrete jungle, or made to look that way. There was barely any space to walk around the bed in those rooms. The restaurant service was the slowest I've ever seen. Some of the staff was friendly, but took way too long. A friend and I waited over forty-five minutes for two glasses of wine, and ended up having to cancel them. All in all, I was very unimpressed with this hotel. If you will be attending a conference there, stay in one of the nearby hotels, there are a few within walking distance. Don't waste your money on this place.

Had no hot water for morning shower. Indoor pool was tiny with no towels. Bathroom had no counter, had to use back of toilet for makeup/curling iron.
